View Full Version : Perth sightings (DB9, GT3, F308, CLS500.....)

The first DB9 in the wild that I have got pictures of, and luckily the owner was a very friendly guy. We chatted for at least 15mins about the car, he mentioned that he watched the TG episode where JC raced the train in a DB9 to Monaco. :D

Apparently his decision came down to either this, an SL65 or a Gallardo and he picked the Aston because of the great reviews he had read/watched and the looks of it. :wink:

When his wife came back from the bank he drove off and said "I should've taken you for a spin around the block" ..and then I physically harmed myself for not having asked. :x

Luckily there are no cliffs nearby me otherwise I would have considered it :P I am still kicking myself now for not asking, but its a lesson learnt :wink:

I have actually driven past that spot where I saw it a couple of times since, in the hope he will be there again.....no luck yet :(

I hope so, but luckily today I have got some fairly exciting news which involves getting a ride in numerous sport/supercars. :D

I don't want to say too much as nothing is certain (and I hate talking about something which ends up not happening), but if it goes ahead then next month I will be flat-out in some very nice cars!! :D

Some very nice sightings! The DB9 looks gorgeous. Haven't seen such a light coloured interior in a DB9 before. By the sounds of it the owner was verey friendly but too bad you missed the ride. You should but a chair at that place and wait there all day hoping he will be there again :D

nice sightings dingo - too bad you couldn't take a ride with the aston. but i'm shure if you see this guy in the future and he'll remember you. maybe then you'll be able to take a ride not only around the block.

I have also not seen this colour interior before, but it sure looked great. The back seats are a joke though, they are SO small!! :?

The guy apparently has two young kids who fit in them but he said in a few years they won't be able to anymore - I would get in the fetal position just to squeeze in if I had too. :P

It might not be such a bad idea about the chair, but I would get very wet with the rain at the moment. Perhaps I could put up a sign there telling him to ring me if he sees it. :wink:

LMAO, not such a bad idea actually - maybe put an ad in the newspaper or something and offer to do photoshoots of exotics. :D

My brother is actually flying out to Brisbane tonight (gotta go to the airport in about 20mins) for a drive down the coast to Sydney and surf in various spots along the way. I have told him to get out of QLD as quick as possible - or to avoid it all together but no luck. :P

You should definately get out there and take some pics, as it is I am the only Aussie posting pics.......we need more! :D With your nice camera you should be able to get some great pictures. :wink:

big mistake, never leave the house without it (especially if you head to the city). :D

A friend of mine has also seen that Hummer (well a yellow one anyway) before, in Nedlands. There is one for sale currently so it may be that one, as there aren't too many in Perth. :wink:
