Help! Phone Number Search...Who Has Access?

Ok..for the last 2 weeks I have been receiving no less than 3 calls a day from someone my cell phone cannot identify.

When I answer, they hang up. If I don't answer, no message is left.

However, the phone number is shown on my display, I just have no clue who it is.

When I call the number back it just rings and rings, nobody answers and no voice mail is reached.

I've tried all sorts of search engines and all say that the number doesn't exist, yet I'm getting numerous calls every day from it.

If anyone has access to some sort of advanced search engine or has any other means of finding ou where this number is registered, I would really appreciate knowing.

The number is in the US. Denver Area. - (303) 779-0578

why don't you just block the number? obviously someone has the wrong number, so why not help them figure it out :wink:

I called my provider (T-Mobile - which sucks, but they're cheap) and they said that since they don't have the number in their registry and it doesn't come up in any other registry as even being in existance that they cannot block it. This was one of the 1st things i tried.

Call them from a pay phone

^^^^ I've actually truied calling from several different phones, all with the same result. It just rings and rings. No answer and no message service.

The fact that it's ringing on the other end tells me that it's a real phone though, not a dead or made up number.

yeah, i'm with them too. it seems like 1:30am is drop all calls time for them. They always blame it on my phone but i can't really blame the poor sap who decided he was gong to sit in a call center all day and take abuse from pissed off customers...or can i?

It's most likely a Caller ID spoof number anyone with a VOIP or cell phone can do it.

If the number was connected to a home phone number I could reverse lookup the number at work...

isn't there are number you can press while the phone is ringing like #. and it goes straight to the answering machine @ that number?
