In short, it's another concept truck from Renault, a 3rd one in past 15 years and first to be built under Volvo ownership. The gimmick of this concept truck is that all the special features it has, can be made available on serial trucks in a very short time for reasonable price. Usually, concept cars and trucks have some dead expensieve features that if would be offered on a serial model, would pump the price upwards a lot.
Back to the truck: it has electronic steering (no shaft from the cab to steering box), steering wheel of smaller diameter than usual, gear shift that folds away into central console, LCD display instead of a conventional instrument panel, which shows only data needed at the moment (revs, speed, selected gear, for example). For the first time on trucks it has an ignition card instead of conventional switch (like they fit on cars). The truck is fitted with several cameras instead of conventional mirrors. The huge glazing can be tinted by a push of a button. Actually, the driver can choose how much to tint the windows.
And of course the truck has fashionable single rear wheels and tires, which are lighter than the conventional double-wheel set-up.
No, I don't read Chineese, I just read a couple of articles about this truck :)
Here are some photos of the truck:

I think what he is saying is that Volvo would be building this for Renault since they have been in the semi truck business for awhile. Something Nissan has not been in.

Ummmm....right, since when has Renault been under Volvo's control?

Almost a couple of years already. Renault group sold its truck buisiness, including the Mack company, to Volvo trucks. The bus department was sold to Iveco, I think.
These days, except the name there is no connection between Renault trucks and ars, just as there is no connection between Volvo trucks and cars. Scania and SAAB are also split, despite the similar badge....

BTW, Nissan has been in truck business for a while as well, but recently it has been partly resold to... Volvo trucks.
Go figure this buy/sell stuff...
