Hey guys was hoping some of you may be able to offer some advice;
My friend and I are planning a trip around Europe, and have a rough idea of stops we plan to do. We have bought one of the month long open train tickets and I would like any ideas or suggestions you may have; places to visit or things to do, either in the cities we are planning to go, or if you think there are better places for us to go!
All suggestions welcome! Here are the cities we are planning at the moment:
Einthoven
Amsterdam
Prague
Krakow
Budapest
Bratislava
Vienna
Trieste
Rome
Milan
Zurich/Geneva
Thanks in advance....!!

Prague is awsome city imo, alot to see, I think one day to see the main beauties of the city. Most of it is right in the center. You have to see Prague at night, its very nice too. I think 1,5-2 days here will be enough :)

Well If you feel like seeing an Eastern city then Kyiv is a great place to see, there are over 30 trees per person in that city, its full of history, clean, just a beautiful place to see. There are tons of beautifl churches all round...
Oh and most important, SEXY UKRAINIAN WOMEN!

I think you need to add Paris and Monaco to your list of stops - I am expecting LOTS of car pictures
The last time I was in Europe was when I went to Switzerland and Austria about 8yrs ago.....so not much advice from me unfortunately :(

and for any auto enthusiast, i have yet to see somebody recomend the Nurburgring. if you are visiting in july, you may see the Z06 testing

I was going to be funny and say drive on the other side of the road but youre taking the train so...
I'd recommend Munich, it seems you are going very close. BMW factory and museum, deutchesmuseum which has a lot of old BMWs and german cars and planes, as well as all the bierkellars, wonderful architecture, olympic park and tower, even kebab shops!
Salzburg is nice, very picturesque and might be on the way to vienna from munich, but Salzburg is a maximum 1 hour stop, have a beer and a look round then travel on kinda thing, its a very small place. You could see the castle there and make it a 3 hour stop but its a shit night out, trust me.
And I have no idea why you would want to visit Eindhoven
Me neither there isn't much going on over there instead of Eindhoven you better go to Maastricht is a much nicer and better city and it's the same region.
I'd recommend Munich, it seems you are going very close. BMW factory and museum,
Munich is a great city i agree but don't bother going to the BMW museum it's temporary and very small the new one will be ready in 2006 but the entrance is just €1,-

you have to get yourself down to the south of france biarritz or somewhere near, also i strongly recommend switzerland, its my fav place in the world. Chamonix is really nice, but for somewhere a bit less well known, try saas-fee. Its at the very end of road and just sits in the foot of some mountains, on the downside its a car free zone. If you do get there, you absolutely HAVE to go on the feeblitz - that thing is amazing!

No prob brembo, I would skip Zurich too. It's a very nice city actually, Switzerland's biggest and richest one, but well, it's not so "typical". If you will come to Switzerland I'd suggest something in the Alps: Gstaad, St.Moritz or something like that. The Alps are marvellous during summer too.
Oh and yes, don't hope to spend two hours in Geneva and see a ton of nice cars, the supercars hunting art is not that easy to master :P

I didnt really like geneva when i went. It didnt feel like Switzerland, just like a french city that had had the character sucked out of it. No offence TT :P

It depends a bit on how much time you have. London, Paris, Monaco, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin, etc. are some of the classis stops. But in the Eastern part of Europe you also have some really beautiful cities.
Maybe a combination of West and Eastern Europe would be nice. Start in Barcelona go via the Côte d'Azur into the Alps and then via Vienna to Prague or Budapest.
Brujes (Belgium)
It's Bruges in English ;)
But the locals actually call it Bhrhuhhhuh
