Ahhh this was from a very well known series of videos featuring a heavily modified and tuned M3 vs a 360 modena, 355, 911 and Diablo VT Roadster (same one I have got minus the rear wing)...

it beats the 355 and 911 and kinda is about level with the 360...I don't think it could or did catch the Diablo however (202 mph car)...only the editing made it look that way....(nice bit of action with the bus as well)

Yeah, I don't think the M3 actually won here. The M3 is obviously quick, no doubt. We were never allowed to actually see a proper race between them, or at least the editing of the movie didn't let us.

If there was any clear video of the M3 beating the Diablo I think they would have shown it over and over and over like they did with the other cars....

Yeah, I have seen this before, but this car beat a 993 Turbo, so it can easily beat the Diablo VT, sorry Jabba. The 993 Turbo smokes a Diablo VT, by half a second 0-60 and 0-100 it is almost 1 full second quicker. Just remember, that this BMW probably has $50,000 worth of mods done to it.

Sorry...I think you will find that they are going a bit quicker than 60 or 100....and the Diablo easily beats the 993 Turbo on top speed (the later ones are good for 212 mph)...I have "smoked" two 996 Turbos before (and had a witness in the car) @ 186 mph....also your right we did see the M3 easily beat the 993 Turbo but we didn't see it have quite the same effect on the Diablo....

You know... if they wanted to edit it to make it look like they beat that diablo they probably done so easily, but I dont beleive they did that. The video didnt really look like they had room to race and they were just taking turns acclerating hard next to each other. Looked like a little horseplay but its so hard to tell because of the editing.

It would make sense that they could keep up with the 360 having 415 HP (as explained at the beginning of their video) but they would be almost 100 HP short on the later Diablo Roadster...

If you freeze-frame right at the beginning of the film, before the DA Motorstort logo, there is a block of text that describes the BMW as a supercharged 3.2litre E36 M3 with '415hp / 470NM', so I'm sure a 492hp / 605NM Diablo would have no problems showing who is boss. I think he was just playing :wink:

ah i have seen this video b4,its pretty cool,them playin on the highway,but honestly i think the diablo would have no problem in a full on run with it.

i have seen this BMW against the 355,360,996 turbo.i have never seen the 993 turbo one,does anyone have that video?

I have them all and will post them if thats what everyone wants....you also have the DVD of my 355 and Diablo in a drag race...and you should be able to see how much quicker the Diablo is in that than the 355 and that was with with a very soft and slow launch of the Diablo.... it still managed to hit 185 mph against 160 mph of the Ferrari at the end of the strip though......

yes thats true jabba,at even one point when your both rolling i gueess at bout 100mph the 355 goes then a few seconds later the diablo goes and passes pretty easily,aswell as you doin 160 in the 355 and your friend says "were doin 160 and hes pullin away from us"

the diablo on top end seriously pulls and pulls hard,IMO harder than that BMW

id liek to see those videos jabba,especially the 993 one,as thats the only one i aint seen :)

ive just been lookin through a couple CD's that i put those videos on,i dont have the 993,but i have the rest so id love to see the 993 one for sure

i dunno if anyone else has the videos that i just found,but the Nowack N500S M5 racing a diablo,an sl55 AMG and a 996 + 993 turbo,3 vids altogetehr,for sum reason the diablo one has no sound,which they apologise for on the video,the sl55 AMG has sound for about 45 seconds and it beats the sl55 pretty easy,and the last one were it races both a 996 turbo X50 and a 993 turbo,this one is bad ass,sound all the way through,very good action for a couple of minutes

It's made in Turkey. As you can read from "some" of the starts of the vids.

Company named DA-MOTORSPORTS.. In Istanbul-Turkey

While these videos are filmed, the vehicle was anounced ~450hp
Beat 'em all, but not the Diablo.. The driver of the Diablo has just bought his machine and was going to track to learn it :) Just play u know..

But.. About a month ago, the TCharger changed and the company anounced the car is 900+hp.....
Also when it was told as 750+hp , was called as the fastest street M3 in the world..

Another info.. it EATS :) 10L of fuel in 1 minute of maximum throttle..

yeah.. Now its 900+hp, they say..
and they say the 100-200kmh acc of it is equal to McLaren.. Although its heavier than McLaren..

Ive seen this and the other videos a while back too. You can hear at one point where the M3 is directly behind the lambo, the lambo is flat out, and pulling steadily away from the beemer, then you can hear from the exhaust note of the lambo he lifts and the beemer catches up again. As has been said the editing makes it seem an even-ish match.
No disrespect to the beemer tho, it fuckin hauls ass!! Anyone know of any videos of it in its latest guise? (ie 750 bhp!!?? :shock: )

Cylinder Head:
- Schrick inner valve springs
- Schrick outer valve springs
- Schrick titanium upper retainers

- Custom made cylinder head studs

Turbocharger:
- Garrett GT42/51R (800-1,000 hp depending on the compressor wheel)
- Ball bearing (the same model has a non ball bearing type)
- Custom made water and oil piping
- Custom made turbo flange
- Custom made turbocharger connecting unit
- 50 mm wastegate

Exhaust system:
- Hand made exhaust manifold: The new exhaust manifold was manufatured in 8 weeks. Stainless steel was chosen for its durability. Pipes with different lengths and diameter were welded together. At the end we have a pipe network under the hood. To make installation and removal of the manifold easier for periodic servicing we used flanges at various bends of the manifold.
