Yup the mini has gone hi-tech :D Satellite navigation with database of Uk speed cameras and red light cameras (only for safety information you understand  )

So far i'm damn impressed went out for a trial run on a route well known to me and kept deliberately taking wrong turns, within 5 seconds it had rerouted me :D Speed camera alerts and directions were also in plenty of time :D

here are some "custom" pics taken with a mates phone camera quickly

This thing is tiny!!! with built in Gps :D (folding piece at the back)

cheers, always amongst the elite  cost just over £300, could have spent it on better things probably  but the mini will hopefully get some other treats this summer, if things go to plan :D

haha well its useful for getting to "new" places  although i don't often actually get lost i'm not exactly organised when it comes to planning trips, meaning i rely on a combination of memory and guess work, which can be a touch stressful  anyway when it comes to getting a J-O-B this will be useful for finding a place and getting there on time :D

Though of course free speed camera database wasn't a motivation in getting this at all

Good buy!!! I bought the Palm Zire 72 with the Mapsonic software... and although I had some problems with the GPS receiver and the windscreen... now I'm pretty happy with it! Mine is also a 1.3 megapixels digicam and a MP3 player... and everything for 300 euros!!! :D

sounds cool :D :D yeh i heard that heated/ tinted windows can give problems, mine came with an additional external aerial to combat this, but i haven't had to use this yet :D

In europe there's more then mainstreet and it sideroads RC :P

I myself have the Acer N30 with bluetooth GPS module, no trouble at all with heatshielded windows, I just put the gps on the truckboard and I'm good to go ;)
Or tape it on the roof of the car with some ducttape :D

Running tomtom3 as well, with checkpoint & the siren from the original simcity

Tried alturion also, and man that sucks! Destinator is also good, but no good "3D" view :P

Indeed some countries have roads with less than 4 lanes :P

as for reception well i believe generally bluetooth recievers get much better signal, even if kept in glove compartment etc. And yeh i should get some better sounds for checkpoint, just got voices at the moment and not great TBH sim city stuff sounds perfect :D

A good tip, don't let your battery go completely flat, because your memory gets cleared then...
I can now reinstall mine, didn't need it for a little while and forget to charge :(

Thanks i'll remember that one! :D especially as intallation crashed twice

This one is mine: clickie (http://www.acer.co.uk/acereuro/page4.do?dau22.oid=7123&UserCtxParam=0&GroupCtxParam=0&dctx1=17&ctx1=UK&crc=3097919870)
Costs in between of 350 & 400€ depending on country (taxes etc).
It's one of the only pda where you can even attach a usb memory stick to, can really come in handy...
And has a carcharger where you can charge the pda & bt gps at the same time, you don't find that very often...

Just finished reïnstalling tomtom & checkpoint, goddamn powerresets

And AL123, here's the simcity siren -> http://www.busted.be/siren.wav

Looks 8) especially being able to attach a usb stick, that would make stuff alot easier! thanks for the siren gonna set it as my last warning in checkpoint :D

Wow that looks cool. Let us see some pics when you get that thang installed on yer car!

Still experimenting with the best place at the moment, might end up making my own custom mount this summer if i get time and install it in a centre console perhaps :-) i'll take some when i've sorted it :D
