Let’s get this out of the way first:

Ok so I got a new G35 Coupe 6MT Silver back in August 22nd just before Uni started. I had to have a car so I got this which had 48 miles on the clock. I was NOT happy about that. I loved the car, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted a really new one. Not only was this not 100% new, but I had some issues with it. It had some rattles, and the seller sold it to me with 1 or 2 scratches which I identified when I replaced the license plate (too late). This is her:

http://img185.echo.cx/img185/4191/bforenews14tw.th.jpg (http://img185.echo.cx/img185/4191/bforenews14tw.jpg) http://img185.echo.cx/img185/7196/bforenews34sb.th.jpg (http://img185.echo.cx/img185/7196/bforenews34sb.jpg)

Well after 3800 miles done in 6 month, I got myself a new and final G35. This time its Black, and I will keep this forever like I will with my 85 Honda prelude (sentimental value):

http://img125.echo.cx/img125/3302/pict00299th.th.jpg (http://img125.echo.cx/img125/3302/pict00299th.jpg) http://img125.echo.cx/img125/5107/pict00280ox.th.jpg (http://img125.echo.cx/img125/5107/pict00280ox.jpg)

Well, I sure did use the previous G for a short time, but that does not mean I did not have fun with her (check the thread on rear tires):

http://img19.echo.cx/img19/7727/exginahtires10id.th.jpg (http://img19.echo.cx/img19/7727/exginahtires10id.jpg) http://img19.echo.cx/img19/6242/exginahtires29vh.th.jpg (http://img19.echo.cx/img19/6242/exginahtires29vh.jpg)

My new 05 baby was scheduled to come this Friday, but today I was getting ready to go to class, when my Cell Phone rang. I answered, and well, SHE WAS HERE! Good thing I was dressed, as that helped me to get to the dealership faster! I jumped on the silver girl and drove up to Infiniti.

http://img277.echo.cx/img277/3504/exginah12ys.th.jpg (http://img277.echo.cx/img277/3504/exginah12ys.jpg)

As I walked away from her towards the dealership... I looked to my right. There she was! The prettiest girl I had ever seen!

http://img99.echo.cx/img99/8840/new43sn.th.jpg (http://img99.echo.cx/img99/8840/new43sn.jpg)

I get all hyped and jog my way into the dealership. So we sit down, run the numbers, sign here, sign there... then call the insurance for a VIN change... Here comes the long part where he fills the paperwork. So I asked for the keys while he got all the papers together. I got the keys and headed over to her to see her from inside:

She had only 8 miles on delivery, and I asked the dealer to give it to me all wrapped just as it came out from the boat so that she gets washed with love from day 1! What better way to start a long term relationship?:

http://img19.echo.cx/img19/4894/8miles5zs.th.jpg (http://img19.echo.cx/img19/4894/8miles5zs.jpg)

I head back in to do the final signatures and stuff. Anyway, my beauty had to be test driven so that they could give her to me. While I sealed the deal, she was taken to the Mobile 1 gas station a few meters away and filled up! I went outside and waited for her to come back. She came within 1 minute of me waiting and was parked right in front of my previous girl.

http://img81.echo.cx/img81/9114/newnprev33fl.th.jpg (http://img81.echo.cx/img81/9114/newnprev33fl.jpg)

I got my things together, put my car cover in my new girl’s trunk and that is how I got my new Blk/Blk G35 Coupe 6MT. I am SOO happy with her. She is perfect! She was "born" March 2005, I was born March also (not 05 obviously)... and well she married me May 23rd (today). We are a happy couple.

I wanted to have the honey moon (12 hour car wash ritual) tomorrow, but Zaino products wont come till tomorrow (I thought I was getting her Friday remember?).

LOL.....nice story, lets hope there is no divorce :P
I really lke the look of the car, the rear lights are a bit big for my liking but the rest is great - nice silhouette :D
We don't get these cars in Australia, so what are the specs?

Very nice I love the new rims but do my eyes deceive me or are there no gold Brembo Calipers under them? Oh and Dingo it's basically a much much nicer 350Z track.

Well, there wont be divorces now. I am 100% satisfied. I mean, she was born the same Month I was  she was ment to be mine.

Besides that, my Prelude is 1985, so 2005 and 1985 thats a great match.

I did this upgrade because the 05's interior is now Livable. The 04 is a great ride, but I cant think of living with the 04's interior forever.

Very nice I love the new rims but do my eyes deceive me or are there no gold Brembo Calipers under them? Oh and Dingo it's basically a much much nicer 350Z track.

Ehhmm... dont look there, better look like higher LOL. Yeah those asses removed the brembos to make the interior better. They did do interior much better, but the lack of brembos SUCKS ASS! I read on the forums that the Infiniti ones were just as good and that brembos would only make a difference at the track... LIES! I know the engine will become faster, but the brakes wont get better. Im going to have to earn some money and put the brembos back.

Nice car Demon......does the 20 hp makes any difference?? (u can tell me when it's properly broken in)

Sorry to say that the "HP sells cars, Torque wins races" applies. This has more HP, but 04's are torquier. I hope I dont feel a difference, but when the break in is done, Ill sure update =D

I'll also Update the pics whenever my Extra Zaino products and Microfiber towels come.

Thnx for the comments guys =D Well this past weekend I ordered a new 5.1 MP camera to replace my 3.2 (quality, as you can see, is not that great). Along with that, I ordered some more microfiber towels and Zaino + P12S wax... I thought I would get the car Friday and now that I got it today, I have nothing lol. This week up to saturday will be tough. I have to go walking to University 1.5 miles away cuz I cant drive Ginah. She doesnt have the license plates on and I wouldnt want her to sit on the sun the way she is right now. Well, all in all, Saturday I'll be up at 5am to start washing and waxing and all that stuff. I will then post some pictures of the products used and steps taken. Living in florida, loving cars, and having a G35 previously made me get a lot of experience in detailing... now to keep a Black one clean will be a hard job. Lets see how I do.

^^bring over a nice jack and start right up on looking for one on the lot

I should have taken some videos with the previous car. Man in 6 month I got 3.8k miles... and that was thanx to hurricanes that made me escape florida 2 times (one time to Ft Lauterdale and other one to Orlando). Now, I'll have to do this crap the long way. I can take pictures of the School's parking lot if you so desire =D actually, I need to film it as that was the best drift I have done so far and its too long to fit in 1 2 or maybe 3 pictures.

Now all you need are the following:

Crawford Plenum, UR Pulley, Stillen Headers + Catback Exhaust, JWT Flywheel

You seem to know your way around... me on the other hand, have no idea about brands and stuff. Living 19 years in South America only educated me about supercars and good cars in general... I never learned about upgrades. So when the time comes, hope you dont mind a PM or two

Yeah LOL... I really love cars as you can tell. My roomate keeps laughing at me buying great towels for the car and crappy ones for me. He also laughs when it rains and he sees me run to the car when rain stops to dry her lol.

^ yup, answer is 04 has more torque, this has more HP... From what I read, the 04 might be a little better at launch, but then the 05 will catch up. Hoping this is true or at least have the difference be unnoticeable cuz that, plus no brembos, would dissapoint me a little... anyway, I will end up modding it a little someday I suppose.

That's a really nice car you have there Demon. I really like the G35 now personally, it's growing upon me and I wouldn't mind getting one, one of these days.

Personally, I've gotten the chance to driven one. My friend also has the G35 coupe in black but in an Automatic transmission. I loved it the moment I stepped inside the car. The power is amazing. Interior is nice and the car overall is just beautiful.

I hope this one treats you right and gives you nothing but happiness to come. By the way, I loved the story.

G35's are such great cars. The story was inspiration of the moment... I was so happy that I forgot my wallet, cell phone, a towel I had, and the GPS booklet at the dealership lol.

3 days before the car came, I test drove the BMW M3 (05 one) and damn man that is a sweet car. Wish I hadn't as my lil G cant match the feeling. Seriously, that M3 is friggin fast. I got up to 80mphour without even knowing I was going so fast... Then a corner came up and I went through it at high speeds and I didnt even feel pulled to one side! I have no idea how these germans do that! I was thinknig about getting one and asking for my deposit back from infiniti, but the car was here today so yeah... Besides, if I were to have bought an M3, besides being REALLY broke, I would get speeding tickets for sure. I am now used to the G and trust it. The G isnt that far away from the M3 anyway... performancewize the M3 is better no question, but I like the G's look more. I also like the interior on the G better. Those big old buttons the M3 has are not that good looking. The M3 is obviously more confortable too.

I totally agree with what you said about the M3. Although, I've been seeing more and more M3's around lately. It's getting to the point where it's pretty trendy and makes me not like the M3 anymore. Hell, I remember back in the day where no one had the M3 and it was something rare and nice to see. Now it's something that just makes me go Eh.

Honestly, I think I would pick the G35 than the M3, the appearance inside and out in my opnion looks better to me. Black is such a nice color for the G35 too. I've seen one recently in black, black wheels and shaved emblems. I believed it was slightly lowered as well and it was insanely nice.

My brother-in-low coworker has a G35 Coupe and a couple goodies installed. I believe he has a Stillen supercharger, exhaust, wheels and suspenion. I'll have to ask my brother next time I talk to him. I can't imagine how fast that thing is though, stock already the performance is good. After all...the G35 didn't win car of the year from motor trend for nothing. :D

You are correct... it won 2 years in a row in CAR and DRIVER's 10 best cars also (the 05 model wasnt available for testing so it did not come as 10 best this year).

Not only are there a lot of M3's now, but I hate driving a car and seeing the person next to me with the same car, but 20 years over my age LOL! Unfortunatelly, M3s, as boxters, are bought by (mostly) old doods who dont even use the car's power. Besides... what is even WORSE is that the M3 is so similar to the normal 3 series (older ones) that some RICE asses change the side panels to have the M3 side grills and put in M3 badges. I hate hate hate that. I wouldnt want to be mistaken by one of THOSE idiots.

lol...why is it that I find myself agreeing with everything you just said.

It's not old people I see with M3's now...it's kids and a more younger crowd now. I even know people who get them for gifts when they are still in high school. Talk about being spoiled! It's true about the grill, I believe the ricers call those "Z3 style fenders" lol! I truly hate seeing those on civics or any car other than where it came from for that matter. As for me, I would never purchase a BMW, but that's just me.

Yeah, I wanted a 350Z initially, but my father said "too expensive for a motorcycle" so I got the G. Now that I have it, I am happy my father told me not to get a Z.

MBDriver - WOAH! no BMW love in ya? Why wats the matter? BMW are such great cars... the M5 is awesome... the engine in the McLaren F1 is BMW :D the X5 is, according to more than me (tiff needell included), the best SUV.

Nice ride Demon! the car looks awesome stock, and I have to agree with you that it looks much better than the M3, tho the M3 only 'looks' better to me cause I know what lies under the aluminium skin..... Anyways, great colour you chose, my only issue with the G35 is its ass is a bit big, not in the good Vida way, more like a J LO ass. Black masks this well, and I think if the car was lowered an inch or so, it would help to streamline this beauty even further. Get an Air filter on the car STAT! (K and N i guess seems to be the holy grail) Enjoy the car, A few more years and a career and I am looking to break the bank on a 30-40 K car just like urself, the G is very very high up on the ladder as well :D

Hmmm... so you took a hit (entry cost) on the "almost new" '04... which had more torque and better brakes.. and you then took another hit (exit cost) and got a new car that has already lost value the moment you drove out the door (drive away cost.. ;)) - so you could have a slower, worse braking and more difficult to clean car?

I hope you really love that interior. :)

Nice car, but I doubt I would have bailed after only 6 months with the previous car.

Unless of course it's all paid for and money is no object - then of course who gives a shit and you should beat the crap out of it and get a different flavour next year.

Yeah callen, I agree, I need K&N filter only thing, I dont know any place around here in melbourne that I would trust my car to. Ive read so many storeis of people's rims being scratched and car dings and stuff when they take them for an upgrade... First is first, break-in =( As said before, I am going to school by foot now as she is covered up till Zaino+Microfiber+5.1MP Camera arives.

I too agree about the M3 being appealing because of what it has under the skin. Man, the car is not that good looking, but the drive (now that I drove one) MORE than makes up for it. I mean, those Germans, I swear, I dont know how they do it. I know that even if the G had 400hp stock, it would not feel as sofisticated as the M3... that thing really is a performance car.

I like the Car. Black truly is the best color (see sig) and I like the rims as well. I've heard only a few because either my car is too loud when I'm next to them, or they don't drive them right.

I like the M3 quite a bit, and would love one, but College isn't the right time. I'll be going south for it, Callen, so I'll be seeing all of those things save for a new M3 as a gift. I find them nicer than the G35, I love the way they look. I paid for my car, but it's probably not coming down with me, despite how much I'd like it to.

Hope you update with vids, Demon.

Yeah the M3 is obviously better performancewize only that it lacks the looks. I would have gotten the M3 being a BMW fan if only the BMW dealership over here wasnt as small and unprofessional as they are. The BMW dealership is 1/3rd in size compared to the Infiniti one. Besides, I would have had to wait 6 weeks at least bfore the M3 came.

I have 2 videos of my new G... thing is, my camera tapes them in .MOV and I cant properlly transfer them to .AVI as everytime I try, the sound is either removed, or not in sync with the video. The .MOV taken directly from the Camera are WAY TOO big so that is why I dont post them. Ill try again right now and see if I can figure something out...

DeMoN
05-25-2005, 02:53 PM
I tried again, there is some problem, I think, with my computer.

I opened up the .MOV with QuickTime and FILE -> Export to make a .AVI

The new .AVI was 61MB in size, but the audio and vidieo was correct. I used VirtualDub to open the 61mb vid, and I compressed the Video using XviD codec and the audio using MPEG-3. The output was a 2.6mb file but the audio was choppy. You didnt get to hera the sound the whole time... there were cuts in it. I then decided to strip audio separate from video. I stripped the audio and compressed it to Mpeg-3 with no image. The result was a .WAV file that was 110kb in size and did not cut. I did the same for the Video file and ended up with a 2.5mb file. I used VirtualDub again to join video and audio and I selected DIRECT STREAM copy which means it only should have joined video with wav and end result was the same thing, video ok, but the audio with cuts.

I remember that my laptop's audio stops working when I install SP2 and then I dloaded some audio codecs fromt he Windows Update and I think its my audio driver that are is up. Ill get a desktop before august to play around with later.

Anyway, instead of a 2.6 XviD, here you can get the ~8mb working .MOV

(do not use Save Target as because it wont return referrals... Just left-click on the links and delete the rename after the MOV after dload is complete)

Hey DeMoN, I tried downloading the videos but no luck.

Damn sorry, I forgot I have my AntiLeechin protection on. If you right click and Save Target as... it wont retur referals so my web bans you from dload. So now, LEFT click on the files to dload and when the saving thing comes up, just save anywhere and then delete the "rename" part after the .MOV

Sorry for extra step, I just dont want leeching to go on.

If someone posts these links out of JW, they wont b able to get them lol.

Everything looks good DeMoN! I see you're babying your girl the right way. I'm still laughing about how you covered the sprinklers with buckets. The 19" wheels are a big improvement, I see no need to get upgraded wheels since those are nice enough. I especially like how the instrument cluster looks nice. Definitely a nice touch than how it looked like before.

Photoshoot moved up one day. I will do the detailing this friday as it seems saturday will be windy. I dont want dirt to get to the polish and scratch my paint when I remove the polish. I have work friday, but I found someone to cover my shift. Products arrived so now I only need the perfect day to undress my girl and bathe her.

Thanks for sharing such an exciting day with us DeMon...I could relate to so much of it...as you have done such a good job explaining your feelings on the day...

very nice car, DeMoN!!! i know all the feelings you get when getting a new car (oh, and the feeling of getting declined :( ) the G35 in Black looks absolutely stunning! im sorry you lost so much value in 6 months from the silver coupe... but something that you know is 100% yours/new... and you put your own investment in it makes a world of difference.

Yeah, the sales rep guy was not sure they would let me do it as they get "graded" by the buyer for how they deliver the car. I told them "I already got one from you guys before and the paper for me to grade you on deliver did not come, so I just want this one all wrapped and when and if the paper comes, Ill grade you on the other one." So then he asked and they said yes :P

But wait ZfrkS62... you have to see the pictures ill post later... Maybe that will change your mind about asking with the protective films. I washed the car 2 times with carwash, then I used Zaino ClayBar to take away the little borthers of dirt that surrounded the protective film, then washed with Dawn and when I dried her and put her on the sun... OMG they were STILL there! I had to claybar again and wash again. It was a difficult job and I was affraid of swirling her up as rubbing the ClayBar can b dangerous if you dont lubricate that thing real good.

Yeah I like this better than the Z. I dont know, its a little more expensive, but IMO its worth it. My friend has the Z (as you see in the pic), but the interior of my car is much much better. I dont even think the Z is all that faster.. maybe .1 .2 secs.

EDIT - BTW pics are not ready yet because well, apparently I did not plan this right. I bought a new 5.1MP camera for taking pics of my car, but little did I know they would be 2.2MB EACH! damn It takes time to load all the pics to Photoshop and edit them at 2.2MB and then resizing to 1024resolution. I had the Infiniti technitian put the hardwire cable to the fusebox (got this for free) and leave the cable hanging so that I positioned it later. Thing is, dealerships wont take as much care as I do so I thought if they did it, I would have my roof and A-Pillar all scratched up. So then he did the fusebox thingy and I ran the cables myself. The only two things I had to buy extra to the V1 Package were a phone chord extender and 3M double sided tape. So here it is...

Here is the hard wire cable fallin off my roof (Goes from fuse box thru A-Pillar, along the roof and falls from the roof).
http://img192.echo.cx/img192/5103/v113oc.th.jpg (http://img192.echo.cx/img192/5103/v113oc.jpg)

So I took off the little plastic that covers the cables going from the mirror to the roof and using 3M double sided tape and a phone chord extender did this:
http://img91.echo.cx/img91/8060/v131sq.th.jpg (http://img91.echo.cx/img91/8060/v131sq.jpg)

That made it look like (hardwire cable + double sided female adapter + coiled V1 shipped phone cable):
http://img91.echo.cx/img91/518/v149zk.th.jpg (http://img91.echo.cx/img91/518/v149zk.jpg)

So I pulled the cable towards the fusebox so that only the male phone connector stook out so then:
http://img13.echo.cx/img13/6577/v156sz.th.jpg (http://img13.echo.cx/img13/6577/v156sz.jpg) http://img91.echo.cx/img91/8213/v179rz.th.jpg (http://img91.echo.cx/img91/8213/v179rz.jpg) http://img91.echo.cx/img91/9154/v184zp.th.jpg (http://img91.echo.cx/img91/9154/v184zp.jpg)

Finally, I wraped the coiled cable around the mirror so that the cable wouldnt stick out a lot when I took the V1 off and that left it looking sweet:
http://img213.echo.cx/img213/5282/v194pd.th.jpg (http://img213.echo.cx/img213/5282/v194pd.jpg)

So thats the V1 install. 2 days after, I debadged the INFINITI and G35 logos. 3 Days after, I went to West Palm to get some 3M illegal tint going on. Damn its dark. I even had the front tinted. Problem is that I thought front tint woulnt be as dark as it turned out to be. I just wanted to get my leather protected. Hope cops dont get me for this...

20% 3M tint all around (except front which is Llumar lightest as 3M only had 30% as the lightest one).

I did a photoshoot, Ill post more pics later (need to resize them as they are all HUDGE), for now...

nice job on the installation! how hard is it to do by yourself?

DeMoN
06-21-2005, 11:56 PM
If you get V1 its really easy as the hard wire cable connects to a provided plastic. The plastic thingy you get with your V1 is like a clip which you clip on one cable. What this does is provide power tot he V1 unit when the car ignition is turned on, and off when the key is turned to off.

So basically, you only pinch a cable on your fuse box, connect the provided hard wire cable, and go from that to your V1. Very very easy to do.

I would go for the exhaust it sounds soo nice Last weekend (not this past one but the one before) we were leaving HIN and followed a Nismo 350Z and went playing on some backroads (Sheridan road for those that know it) and it almost sounded Ferrari esque not the same but close.

Upgrades will come later. I need to break in engine first. GTR overlays yep I plan on getting those. They look great on black cars too! Rumor has it that 06 will have D2R headlights like BMW's so instead of lights being white, they will be blue. If this does happen, I think I might upgrade.

About the exhaust, I've been told borla makes some nice, yet stockish, sound. I just became a member of the Florida G35 club (www.floridag35club.com) so whenever I go to a meet, I'll get to hear exhausts and decide once hearing em

1st Car wash
So I woke up at 5am to start washing. I knew it was going to be hard job taking those protective films.
http://img117.echo.cx/img117/4899/firstwash16po.th.jpg (http://img117.echo.cx/img117/4899/firstwash16po.jpg)

I finished taking them all. I washed the car and dried her up (by that time, there was daylight already).
http://img117.echo.cx/img117/9435/firstwash87ln.th.jpg (http://img117.echo.cx/img117/9435/firstwash87ln.jpg)

After drying, I started inspecting every single part where the tape used to be. I knew I would find something:
http://img117.echo.cx/img117/7514/firstwash101in.th.jpg (http://img117.echo.cx/my.php?image=firstwash101in.jpg) http://img117.echo.cx/img117/6800/firstwash112fx.th.jpg (http://img117.echo.cx/my.php?image=firstwash112fx.jpg) http://img117.echo.cx/img117/7774/firstwash126vn.th.jpg (http://img117.echo.cx/my.php?image=firstwash126vn.jpg)

Thats when I decided to use Zaino's Clay Bar. While Clay baring, I could see a difference in texture where the covered metal used to be.
http://img264.echo.cx/img264/5725/firstwash151ee.th.jpg (http://img264.echo.cx/img264/5725/firstwash151ee.jpg)

After hours of taking all those little dirt lines off, I moved the car and dried her. At that time, I realized that I had the timestamp function off so I enabled it (as seen on 2nd pic down here). Basically, It took me from 5 to 10am to strip out the protective film and take away those fine dirt lines where the protective film used to be.
http://img264.echo.cx/img264/4625/firstwash187nz.th.jpg (http://img264.echo.cx/img264/4625/firstwash187nz.jpg) (http://img264.echo.cx/img264/737/firstwash223id.jpg)

Or so I thought... upon closer look, 5 to 10am was not enough to clean those small thin dirt lines! I had to clay bar again and car wash again (1 hour and 47 minutes later plus 15 minutes to dry her reall well)

[img]http://img264.echo.cx/img264/8687/firstwash279is.th.jpg (http://img264.echo.cx/img264/8687/firstwash279is.jpg) http://img255.echo.cx/img255/5236/firstwash281ni.th.jpg (http://img255.echo.cx/img255/5236/firstwash281ni.jpg)

I then applied Z6 to take away all waterspots so that I could start Waxing. After Z6, we start getting somewhere... now she looks nice.

http://img255.echo.cx/img255/7894/firstwash314um.th.jpg (http://img255.echo.cx/img255/7894/firstwash314um.jpg) http://img255.echo.cx/img255/1554/firstwash328jt.th.jpg (http://img255.echo.cx/img255/1554/firstwash328jt.jpg)

12:48 to 1:48 I get on the first Z5 layer... followed by Z6 clean down. Second layer of Z5, clean down with Z6 (Ending at 3:23pm).

4:26 I finished applying Z2, and finish wiping her down at 5pm.
http://img182.echo.cx/img182/9678/firstwash373vz.th.jpg (http://img182.echo.cx/my.php?image=firstwash373vz.jpg) http://img182.echo.cx/img182/6817/firstwash396tc.th.jpg (http://img182.echo.cx/my.php?image=firstwash396tc.jpg) http://img182.echo.cx/img182/4968/firstwash416ae.th.jpg (http://img182.echo.cx/img182/4968/firstwash416ae.jpg)

At 5:34 I finished applying the new Z8 Grand Finale and she was a mirror!
http://img182.echo.cx/img182/9137/firstwash433je.th.jpg (http://img182.echo.cx/img182/9137/firstwash433je.jpg)

7:20pm, I finished applying two coats of P21S Carnauba Wax and I was exhausted. I needed some food, but she was worth it!
http://img182.echo.cx/img182/1364/firstwash465lx.th.jpg (http://img182.echo.cx/img182/1364/firstwash465lx.jpg) http://img276.echo.cx/img276/5485/firstwash496do.th.jpg (http://img276.echo.cx/img276/5485/firstwash496do.jpg)

Next Day
I applied a final P21S coat and decided to take some pics as by the time I finished the previous day, it was too dark to get proper pics.
http://img276.echo.cx/img276/9483/finalwax28tc.th.jpg (http://img276.echo.cx/img276/9483/finalwax28tc.jpg)

She was so shiny that it was hard to have the camera focuse on the car instead of the reflection the metal made.
http://img276.echo.cx/img276/6810/bank43vo.th.jpg (http://img276.echo.cx/img276/6810/bank43vo.jpg) vs http://img276.echo.cx/img276/5935/bank36rp.th.jpg (http://img276.echo.cx/img276/5935/bank36rp.jpg)

Oh yes, did I mention that 2 days after, it rained? Gotta love Florida summer weather!

You prolly have this, but if u don't, u should take alook.

Borla is one of the most quiet aftermarket exhaust u can get. (Desirable for some ppl)

*EDIT* Sorry about the rain.......all the hardwork, I understand how u feel.

5vz-fe - WOW that borla is niice. I was TOLD that it was close to stock, but better. And it also increases HP a little. I dont want my car to sound like a civic, and I think borla does the trick just right! What a great comparison video. Where did you get that? Are there any more comparisons? Stock vs _____ ?

Sorry man, u are one step too late, I cleaned up my harddrive last month....this is the comparison that is left (I'll do a search later and see if there are any other remains ok?) As for the video, I get it from G35Driver.com They have been there since the first G35 sedan came out, so it is a pretty good resource if u wanna find out reviews of different modifications.

*EDIT*

http://rapidshare.de/files/2549995/G35CupdateLarge.wmv.html

This is the same car as the last video, but with more mods this time. As u can see, the borla remains very stock like even with more engine mods.

I am a member at g35driver too. Actrually, I am Premier and member of the Florida G35 Club lol. I saw them vids posted once, but forgot to get them.

Since you dont have them now, but you have seen them all. Which exhaust sounds the best? (Remember I dont want to sound like riced up civic).

My cousin has a G35 sedan with Stillen exhaust, it's nice sound at the track, but too loud on the streets (not ricers loud tho) and there are resonance frequency going into the cabin at 2~3000 rpm. Fujitsubo exhaust is slighty quieter than the Stillen and has a deeper sound to it, but also on the loud side and it doesn't come with a y or mid pipe.

If u like the first borla vid, I am sure borla would be a good choice for you, coz most after exhaust are wayyyy lounder the the borla one. Plus borla is comparably cheaper than others so u can spend the rest on other things.

Give this site a try .... see if there are any sound u like

Wow Borla cheaper than most? Last time I checked they were like double the cost on half their exhaust systems since they are one of the few that actually use 100% T-304 stainless and as for the quiet thing I doubt that is the same for most cars Borla's on big V8s are pretty damn loud at WOT. I would go with Borla though just because they are quality and that's what you pay for. for example Flowmaster for my car $350-400 Borla $700-$1000.

Blitz Nur Touring going for ~ 1000
GReddy EVO 2 ~ 1000
FUJITSUBO Legalis-R (Axle back) ~ 900
HKS Ti ~ 1500
Tanabe Super Medalion (Axle back) ~ 700
Stillen ~ 1200

Suprisingly Nismo S-tune ~ 900 but require 6" stright extension (accoridng to czp)
last but not least Borla is 820....see, BARGIN

*EDIT* u don't buy flowmaster exhaust for cars like G35

no, I am not dis-ing it or anything, it's just that they usually specialize in making for american cars..and not japanese...so they don't put as much money in perfecting it.... pls don't take it personal (I think I saw flowmaster for civics and more popular japanese compact cars)
