Hello guys,

Here's another release, featuring the AutoVisie Driftchallenge of this year.

This is the first year this event took place, and it's currently the biggest Dutch driftevent available. Many famous drivers and 'underdogs' participated in their cars.

Enjoy!

Kind regards,

Thanks! I got an e-mail this morning from Autovisie with the results, so I'm surprised to see it here already.

I guess this isn't a video by the Autovisie crew, huh? 18 Mb. Usually their video's are low res and far too short. Did you make this one?

Yes I did produce this video, and I'm not affiliated with AutoVisie in any way. It could become their video (with their logo in it) if they want to purchase it. But that's a different story.

A couple of friends participated in this challenge, so that was the main reason I produced this video.

Very nice editing Jory :) and great drifters in the vids! Am I wrong or at least one of the E46 M3 was sort of an official entry from BMW? It had no real plate but only BMW M3 instead...

Anyway, my fav was the dude with the Skis on the roof LMAO!

This is not your typical 'ricer' drift video, complete with cars carrying huge rear wings and such. After a while, all these drift vids look the same- except this one. Entertaining.

Thanks for the feedback. I know Linkin' Park is cheesy, but it fitted nicely to the kind of editing I wanted to use.

BMW sponsored four cars, two M3's, two 325ti's (compact) and two Z4's. They were used by the 'favorites', professional racing drivers and such. I hope to see a wide range of cars next year, because there were just too many (old) beamers.

Strange there was no M5 in the vid :D as for the Compact, not your tipical drifting car, but they seem to be pretty good anyway :D

Jordy, nice video! Next time i should also be present :)

TT, to drift with a bmw compact is very simple because it has a 50/50 weight balance.

Sure, I know about the compact, but if you think about it, it's rare to see one in a drift competition ;)

The video doesn't really work on my computer. I can hear the sound, but the screen remains black. When I switch to full screen and back I can see a still of the image that was played at the moment I hit Alt+Enter. So if I hit Alt+Enter all the time I get a picture slideshow at best.

Has anyone got a clue what's wrong with my crappy computer this time?

this video was great. Some nice shots of cars in action and also some nice engine noises. Thanx for posting and keep up the good work.

There were two E34 M5's in the trial rounds (and one in the first final round), but they didn't succeed in getting to the next stages.

I had the E39 in mind ;)

Do you have Windows Media Player 9.0 installed? You can get it at the Microsoft site, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en&categoryid=4

Yes, I have 9.0. Maybe it's just that my computer's too slow. Or could it be codecs that also influence performance of .wmv files?
