I just saw this and was really surprised:

http://www.autospectator.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1209

Mercedes-Benz is one of the winners in this year’s compilation of breakdown statistics by the German motorists’ association ADAC. The brand’s passenger cars received top marks in three automotive categories.

since when Mercedes is more reliable than BMW, Audi, Honda and Toyota?

totally the opposite if you see this topic: http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24348&highlight=reliability

so, does this ADAC compilation really makes any sense?

that makes absolutely no sense at all...i can look out of the shop right now and the Mercedes:BMW ratio in the service lot is about 7:1 and that BMW just got put there because it's done :?

I really have to wonder who was looking at what when they compiled that list

Yeah I agree, the once mighty Merc's have been slipping badly for quite a while now their looking to much at profit segments. I remember the Top Gear survey from a couple of months back saying that Merc reliability was crap adn their customer support wasn't any better either.
