I am not a big fan of the looks of this generation of Integra (the newer ones are nice) but the performance of the high-revving engine can't be doubted so that makes up for it IMO

Infortunately, the Integra DC5 is not imported in France, maybe because the DC2 was not a commercial success over here (only 450 models sold, all in white, mine was imported from Germany). :)

Great car.

I love the R models. The poor man's racecars.

I have driven the Integra R and the Civic R and they are so much fun.
The amount of fun these cars provide are insane. The whole package is very well put together and that engine is music to my ears.

Some say, taht R engines are too lout but I don't mind.
The cars have a gokart feel to them and the steering is so sensitive, it's a joy to drive them.

Veedub I love your car !!! Such a great car you have. Integra's are very , very nice imo. Great choice of car you have

But may I ask some question's about your ITR ?

1.If you bought it when it was stock, how was the sound, I mean is it very loud at 8.400 rpm or still very quiet ? And do you hear a good difference compared to normal cars ?

2. Can you discribe the sound under 5.800 rpm, when the VTEC doesn't kick in ? (stock)

3. Are there things about the ITR that should have been better or that you don't like ?

THX. :D Good luck with your awsome car.

You think it is noisy when you're inside because sound proofing is poor compared to other cars, but from the outside it's not that loud for a stock NA sportscar (in my opinion).

2. Can you discribe the sound under 5.800 rpm, when the VTEC doesn't kick in ? (stock)

Cruising at low revs, the stock sound is just like a normal 4 pot engine. Quiet disppointing when you turn the engine on for the first time. :P

3. Are there things about the ITR that should have been better or that you don't like ?

The fake carbon inserts in the car look horrible, the stock brakes are a bit weak, the tires are not wide enough (205/50 is really better than the stock EUDM 195/55), there 's no oil temp gauge... and that's all. :)

I shouldn't really but I always like to say hello to a new person in their language if I speak it.

I'm sure your ITR has more HP than stock. I only got my Saab dyno'd to make sure I was getting the HP from the chip that the supplier claimed - my car is a daily driver also.

ITR are rare in France, so they are quiet overvalued. I saw prices between 10k€ to 14k€.

Here in the US, most ITRs I have seen have had 60k miles + on them (which is why I didnt buy one here - could find one with low enough mileage for my liking) and the going rate is between $15-$22k.

Considering these cars cost about $25k new here, I'd say they were overvalued as well. You can buy a 2001 330i for under $20k now...

Decent I-GSRs (170hp VTEC 1.8 integra) go for between $11k-$15k.

gis - I saw an S reg (1998) ITR in the UK for GBP 7 grand. It was in Autotrader...

i think i saw that one.was it white with 60k miles?

thats the cheapest i seen one go,the rest are always around the 9-10k area.i guess that guy sellin for 7k didnt realise how much they actually go for,lol

the same witht he EK civic type R,they are kinda rare in the UK,i think i only ever seen 1,most civics i see are the one you had the VTI or the special edition Jordan civic.

but the integra (DC2) is definately pricey, although even if you bought one that been looked after and has 80-90k miles,im sure it still has quite a lot of life in it....bein honda and all :D

Very nice car man.
There's a kid here at school with a black one like yours that he totally ruined with an exhaust that is too large for a Semi Truck, and he has shitty ass upgrades on the engine , you know the ones that cost $20 from the local auto parts store i.e. Universal. The car is soo low to the ground we have to take the bumper off to get it on the lifts, there are a few Honda/Acura's like that here.

I had the opportinues to drive most of the Honda Vtec range, from Civic VTI EG6 (Si in the US, with the 160hp B16) to S2000, and ITR is the one with the most "violent" Vtec. :)

The ITR is MUCH better than the prelude from a drivers point of view.

Given the choice between a 'normal' integra GSR and the VTEC prelude I'd take the 'lude though...

Have you ever driven the original B16 which was fitted to the 1991 Civic and CRX? 148bhp...That was a better engine than the 160hp version in my opinion! I've owned both a 96 VTi and the 91 CRX 1.6-VT. The CRX was MUCH better than the newer EK IMO, but I think the EK weighs 20% more...When I had the CRX, a friend had bought a brand new EK VTi coupe and was really annoyed cos he couldnt keep up with my 9 year old CRX!!

Also, have you ever driven the Accord Type-R? I imagine its a bit of a heavy car for it's 212hp...

I used to rag it quite a lot, I'd drive along and see guys turning their heads and a surprised look as they expected to see a motorbike.

The EK seemed quieter but probably down to extra insulation, and the fact my VT was catless...

I have no idea, hopefully more than stock. :P
The Mugen airbox should net you 5hp alone I'm thinking. Or at the very least more response at higher revs. Probably 10hp or more over the standard with the exhausts and stuff. Nice car!
