About time the Brits stopped taking everything that is thrown at them! There has been a bit of a fuss recently about speed cameras installed on a motorway. We need more demonstrations like this!

fucking AYE!! saw this on the news earlier, imagine this on a bigger scale, regualrly, the government would have to sit up and take notice. There are suitable places for speed cameras, and i'm sure there is the odd one in these places but the majority are ignored because they wouldn't generate enough revenue  basically they have managed to alienate all drivers through this and the cost of fuel etc ad its time we fought back for sure.

Personally i'd prefer to see more of those signs that flash at you as you approach a new limit until you slow down, help rather than punishment i mean how many pricks do you see entering villages at stupid speeds

Incidently i'm probably gonna buy a sat nav/ camera location GPS device this summer, can't afford to get points on my license! insurance already kills me

Thank fuck, us Brits are farr too used to not complaining.

The people of the UK accepted these metal pickpockets when they were first introduced because they were (largely) placed outside schools and other such places, which is great. However, as im sure alll the british motorists are aware, more and more of these pieces of shit were placed in entirely inappropriate areas.

Only last year, legislation was passed the meaant that gatso;s no longer have to be placed in accident blackspots!!! how fucking stupid is that?? :|
No-one saw that plastered across the news or at the head of Mr Blairs manifesto in 2001.

So now, we get the fucking things were no-one has ever been killed in their life, for example, in a wide open country road with empty fields either side - we have 40mph limits.

Still wanna claim they are to reduce road deaths?

It has been scientifically proven that the devices AL was talking about - those that survey your speed, then flash it up on a bloody big board further down the road if you are over the limit - have been proven as 3 times more likely to make drivers slow down, and whats more they are many many times cheaper than gatso's to make and install.

Its an absolute fucking disgrace and the more people who start to stand up rebel against these fucking stupid "road-safety" devices the better :(

it would be funnier if all those protesters did 51 in 50 zone for the entire duration

Utterly ridiculous the situation in this country.
Im guessing this happened particularly on the M4 as i thinks its the motorway where some stupid camera that catches you from a few miles away is being pioneered. So i'll be fucked if im driving home on that road any more!
