April 22 - Ferrari 430 Spider (5) & Berlinetta +Quattrop

You saw the preview already, so it's not a big surprise :bah:
Anyway here are all the pics I managed to secretly take that day!

Sadly yesterday I went back there to ask if actually it is possible to take pics and the answer is no!! They had 3 more Spiders there, one of them was in the amazing gunmetal grey :shock:
Also a couple of Berlinetta, and two of them were running around the block, with that marvellous engine singing..

Sadly you won't see many more pics from that place in the future :bah: so enjoy these ones :P

Very nice pictures , but I must say I don't like the Spider with closed roof that much.

Too bad, they are not willing to let you take more pictures, maybe a couple of dogs are waiting for you next time :wink: , so you better take a sausage with you :D

I see I am not the only one sad for the grey one :(
Luckily I got a berlinetta in the same color time ago, but I wanted the spider too, that's why I went back today. It was still there, but way too close to the reception for me to sneak in and snap some pics :bah:

Some amazing sneaky pics you took, TT. It's a shame you weren't allowed to take pics of them when you asked. They didn't had license plates so you couldn't do anyone harm. Taking pics of dealership cars are actually good publicity for them since you post them on your website. A possible client could see those pics and wonder where they were taken. Turning you down is bad publicity for them, imo.

Well, beeing the official dealership, I was sure the answer would have been a NO. They don't really need advertising like a regular dealership would. Their ads are the Formula 1 victories and so on ;) they sell hundreads of cars / year, I doubt my website could help that much :D

but they were still very friendly and polite and told me I can ask in Lausanne or Geneva dealerships where it is allowed to take pics :bah: (as if I didn't know already)

Still, I don't get why they won't let you take pictures there - official dealer or not. :bah: IMHO it's rubbish. Like Wutputt already said, there were no license plates on the cars, so the owners can't have anything against it, even if they would find the pictures and recognise their own car! Chances of that happening are next to nothing anyway...
Kroymans (which is the main dealer for the Netherlands and the distributor for Ferrari here) allows people taking pictures. As long as you don't stick your camera in the face of a customer and press the button (not that I tried this, obviously :wink: ), their attitude seems to indicate they couldn't care less. If you're in the business of selling cars on emotional reasons only, you get the fan base as an extra. One day, a small part of that group will be in the position to buy one. IMO they should be nice to everyone and let them admire the cars. They never know who their customers are (going to be) exactly.
