Isn't this a crime..? I browsed through the used ferraris, and I found many with low mileage.. But 5000 km since 2001!!!

As a friend of mine said: "my 360 would have a million kilometres by now!!"

lol a f00l and an asshole who prolly bought the car as an investment and to pose in...now that there's a newer small ferrari hes gonna get that, not cos its better but just cos its the latest model...and thanks to low mileage he can get a good price for the old 1

And I've seen much worse than that. I remember seeing a couple of moths ago a '96 F50 with only around 350 Km... And there are many more like that. :|

I wonder when people will realise that cars (and specially supercars) were made to be driven...

-Maybe the driver is scared???
-And isn't there much snow in Norway so you basicly can't use it in winters.
-Or maybe it's a business (wo)man who hasn't go much time to drive it. Sound mad i know but it's possible :D

I hope the reason is the snow or no time, but if I had a Ferrari, I'd drive it every single day! god I hate the kind of people that buy these cars just to have them sitting in a garage...

Well, we do have some snow, but not more than at most 5 months from november to march.. But still..

There is a lovely 308 or something that's rolling around town all winter long.. It looks like it's been used, it's dirty and old, but that just fits it.. And the owner buy the parts he need on Biltema, a cheap store to buy car-things in..

But the 430 we have in town has just started driving around.. A lot of my friends have seen it, and I just can't wait to see it myself..

-mayb it was a rental car (for poeple and movies, ad spots ...)

really no body would buy a 360 and not drive it and sell it for proffit down the road that would a bad choice since it one of the most mass produced ferrari's of all time

now in the case of the F50 Nuno it is a little diff. :roll:

The good news is - you can buy it just like new in perfect condition! For exampl - F40 or 355 or 993 turbo with ~1000km! Hell yea!!! When I'll have money I would search for something like that :mrgreen:

That's exacly the problem. You can be sure that those 1000Km cars aren't in mint condition. At least from the "inside". They just look mint. :)

Cars in general (but specially the ones you listed) need to be driven, or else they'll go wrong, specially the Ferrari's. That's why you hear so many horror stories about Ferraris. People don't drive them for some reason, and then when they do the driving isn't good for the car (i.e: no correct break-in procedure)...and then a visit to the shop is on the way... A Garage Queen is much more likely to have (serious) problems than a car that gets driven hard & often.

People who own those super-low mileage cars don't care too much about them and that is reflected in their condition, while the high mileage cars are taken care of. Besides, would you prefer to buy a car from a true enthusiast (albeit with many miles) or from a poser who only drives the car to show it off...? :wink:

Narrowing it down to the Fezzas again, they ARE reliable cars when driven properly (the so called Italian tune-up :mrgreen:), so don't be afraid of high mileage ones. :wink:

For example, given the choice between two identical '97 355's, one with 3000 Kms and the other with 50000, I'd take the higher milealge one anyday. It's better to spend some money in new tyres, pads, etc than to find an oil leak a couple days after the buy of the "mint" Garage Queen. :)

Besides, less mileage=more $$$. :wink:
