How much does it cost to build some of these race tracks we see? I've been googling but can't seem to find any prices. :D

I believe the Baharian Circuit from what I heard costs around 150 - 250 million USD?

To my knowledge, a very well designed and paved race track of around 2 km. length will set you back some $200 million. By "well paved" I mean you could have an F1 race on it.

A dirt track is always the more affordable option, provided that you have enough space in your back yard. And those off-road go-karts are always a blast to drive.

i was thinking right in the range of 200-300 million. but i'm sure theres tons more of extra stuff. i wouldn't doubt it if you have to get the track certified and such. :D

Talking about an F-1 track, getting the track up to FIA specs probably will also hike up the cost substantially. The required garages, etc.
250mil $? oh maan.... i'm just 249998500$ short... can someone lend me that amount of money .... plz? ... i'll hit u back on the first ma brotha

Slightly off topic but the Shanghai F1 track was built on a swampy mess. To support the track they sunk down metal pilons. And also placed 200 000 blocks of polystyrene around. According to Herman Tilke the entire asian polystyrene market was empty for two years because of it.

Hard to believe - considering electronics ships in polystyrene - and I don't remember asian electronics exports slowing.. ;)
