Did you see the 3rd pic? THAT IS A MILITARY US-PLATE!! It just looks like a german plate, because american plates are toooo conspicuous in Germany. Thats why all plates from US-cars - which are registered in here - start with AD, AF or HK.

AF=(US) Air Force. No idea what the others mean.

...they just don't want to attract attention with those big graphic-cartoon-picture-plates.


btw: if you're an american AND you are deployed in germany (navy etc.) AND you buy a car, then you will get one of these plates - believe it or not. ;)
