On the contrary I believe that its oing to be a superb championship. Same car/engine/tyres, beautiful car, v.good locations, cheap tickets, fantastic organization. Patience till September! :mrgreen:

My problem is in the choice of driver, for example the Australian driver is some hack thats never done anything. If it was a guy like James Courtney, Ryan Briscoe even Marcus Marshall or Will power at least they have some history of competive open wheeler racing. As it is Christian Jones is pretty much unknown and massively unlikely to actually be able to show the real quality of Australian open wheel racers.

I can't see it taking the over F1 anytime soon But if F1 keeps Bernie in charge for much longerwho knows, but dont forget theyll never realy be at each others throats seeming as though they arnt even running at the same time

I don't know if it will be that good...i mean yeah sure it will be competitive, but having a feild full of the same car... :? ...i personaly like it when another team/make is better then another, eg - Ferrari (allthough i am a BAR fan) they win all the time cause their simply the best at the game...technicall advantages come into it and i like that...
Maybe im just being to critical, heck i know i am, i havnt even seen a race yet...Bring on A1... 8)

I have also followed this since the first word. I thought it was an interesting idea and I would maybe like it more than I would think. I was right.
This weekends race was infinitely more fun to watch than the F1 Brazil Procession.
Even though there where a lot of mistakes and a lot of drivers are rookies - it had a flavour of an Olympic event. Cheering countries etc.
I think it was a success and am looking forward to how it will develop over the next few months.

And do not forget - if you look at the proposed rules for F1 in the future - its remarkably similar to what A1 already is. 8)

The medical car almost taking out one of the drivers was one of the funniest things i have ever seen in a race. :mrgreen:

There're some interesting names in the grid: Neel Janie, Nelsinho, Premat, Scott Speed, Fukuda, Tocaccelo... :P Will be interesting to follow this series!

*coughverstappencough* 25 => 7 in the feature race. 8)

I watched both races, and I really liked it.
No drivers aid + slicks + equal cars = great fun :D

aw man that race was AMAZING (ive only see nthe feature race)...and verstappen did great, but what impressed me most was nelsinho...look at the gap he pulled, with equal cars :shock: if all races are like this, its gonna be a huge success...well except if nelsinho keeps driving like htis, cos then it'll be like the 2004 F1 season all over again :P ow but the struggle for 2nd would still be incredibly exciting :D

I'm not all that patriotic and all, but South Africa 24->6 in the same race. And Verstappen has F1 experience, Simpson doesn't. 8)

Anyway one can see that Piquet is a really fast driver.
Its going to be a fun 5 months - finally something to watch over december!

I watched the race too and thought it was great, was alot more fun to watch than F1 I thought since there seem to been something happening all the time. An awesome crash loads of locked wheels. I got so into it when britain took pole postion from the pits, it was great!! but then the car stops working just great ain it.
