4 Aston Martins were stolen today in London.

"A guy was driving into work today in London. On the approach to the Blackwall Tunnel he pulled up behind 4 brand new Aston Martins, one without a number plate.

He got suspicious thinking what the hell are 4 new astons doing at 6am in the morning?? Anyway saw the drivers were fairly young guys,put 2+2 together and figured they were probably stolen.

Anyway he called the police from his mobile to report the cars stolen. 1 minute later got a call back from the security in Blackwall Tunnel asking where the cars were. He replied just going into the tunnel. Within no time they closed the tunnel, claiming a truck was stuck. Few minutes later the police arrived, and sure enough they were stolen!

One car was damaged badly, but the other 3 were apparently fine."

Yes I heard that on the local radio station about an hour ago...I cant believe how quickly the news has spread down to friggin Austraila.....that tunnel is about 30 mins from my office...I heard one got away though...

oh thats good... you would be happy about that :D one less Aston on the road can't be a bad thing. Lets hope it was one without damage :lol:

Btw.. bad news travels fast! The fact they caught 3 made the news travel super fast.

Next time they could just as well be after cars from marques you do like. No matter what it is, people should keep their filthy paws off other people's belongings!!

I like how aston martin's look, but the sound of their engines and performance (and interior) are really bad. Too heavy I dunno, wish they were faster and lighter... dont care bout the gadgets in a car. 4 stolen? If someone got away, I am sure the cops know a way to have the other 3 guys call out the name of the missing one.

Have you heard the Aston V12 that's in the DB7 GT and Vanquish?! If you haven't, get TT's video of the supercar rally 2003 or the JC/Damon Hill test of the Vanquish and 575M. It's one of the best sounding engines in the world!

That's a difficult one, because they're so different. I like the metallic shriek of the 360, it sounds so racy. :twisted: But sometimes the sound of the 360 could use a bit of a darker growling tune. It can be a bit harsh. So, if you listen to it for a longer period it can be a bit too much.
The Aston has that real V12 sound. Rich, complex and the dark tune. But can't really call it smooth, it sounds agressive and mean too. :x On startup it sounds almost like a mad dog barking. I love it.

I can't really pick a winner. But that says enough I think.

LOL! I know you think the 360's looks aren't good enough for the successor of the F355 (and I second that), but if you're that enthusiastic it sounds to me like plenty of reason to get one, Jabba! :D

I know...I love the back of the car...the exposed engine....and the sound....I dont like the front...and I wish they could have made it alot quicker than the F355....how about 500 bhp...(could have done it for the stradale).....and I guess the F355 doesnt sound to bad with a tubi fitted...

Funny enough I thought the silver 360 sounded the best in your video TT (I presume it had a tubi fitted) not the stradale....

Yeh, obviously the Stradale's sound is pretty different from a normal 360 :D but I can't decide wich one is better! The Challenge is quite a badass beast though!

It's the front I have most problems with as well (as JC said: "that grinning face"). The headlights are too Porsche-like. The slightly longer nose of the challenge stradale looks a bit better as well. I have to say it depends on the colour too though. In Alloy (silver metallic with a touch of blue) it looks better than in red or yellow IMO. Same with black and blue. IMO the spider looks better than the berlinetta. Somehow the proportions seem better. What do you think about this?

Even if the car did sound nice, the interior is sound proof coated and you dont feel the power. It looks like it feels like a four door sedan. It just is not sporty. I guess that is why the "people buying this will be people who use pipes" is the comment on these cars.

It might not be as sporty as a Ferrari, but like a four door sedan?! You really need to see the Vanquish/575M test bij Jeremy Clarkson and Damon Hill. They both agreed the Aston is fast and sounded great. From inside the car...

Yes, they did. And they're probably right. I'd choose the 575M with Fiorano handling pack too. It was mainly the gearshift that ruined it for the Aston. Not the engine. Far from it...

I thought that was the best looking 575 or 550 I have ever seen in that review...I think they look much better in those darker colours especially black...funny enough I think the 575 looks the worst in red....

Well, you're right anyway. The perfect 575, or 550, to me is one in blue metallic with brown leather interior.

I find with all modern Ferrari's red doesn't suit them. If I were to order any of the current models, I wouldn't order it in red.

Auto Salon Singen has an enormous number of Ferrari's indeed. About a week ago I spent nearly an hour on that site. Very rare cars too.

A Dutchman called John Bosch has one of these 1995 412 T2 F1 cars. I've seen (and heard!) it in action and that V12 sounds so much better than the V10s they use these days. Incredible car. :shock: :D

I have been searching for quite a while now to find the perfect 550/575 and I have finally found it. Too bad there weren't more pictures of this car. You can make out the interior colour though. The wheels are the standard ones. I prefer them to the optional wheels as pictured above on the 550 alondahan posted.

I second that Jabba. Clarksons humor is legendary. Its what makes him so much more than Tiff the wet-rag. Tiff is a wonderful driver and his knowledge is comprehensive, he is the David Attenborough of Automobiles. JC is like a Jim Carey of cars. He is a piss taker. Someone that creates 1000 pictures with his words. If here were to draw a picture or show a photo, I am sure he could explain it better than the graphical representation itself. One can not discount his smarts. I have no doubt he is a very smart man. He is quick on his feet, he sees an opportunity and he takes it before the moment is gone. He is so 80s its almost funny to look at him. "... Countach... like an Ice cream cake with a sparkler", "daryl hanna sunbaking naked out there for all I know", "large enough for a packet of biscuits" and thats only on the Lambo history video. I could go on all night about his funny calls. A legend and the best presenter hands down.

Jeremy Clarkson has a way of being so cynical and acid in his humor that you cannot help but see things his twisted way.. you actually sympathise with his off beat explanantions of the most obviously overlooked or underplayed details... "this car needs to be pushed off the dock coz its paddle shift is the pits" and u reckon "yeah push the fucker over"..His face has that permanent I am about to burst out laughing look that just cracks a smile on your face everytime u see him.. oh yeah .. I like that dark grey 550 too :mrgreen:
