Don't know if there are any S.O.A.D. fans over here, but if there are, this may interest you. :D

System Of A Down have set the track listing to disc one of their upcoming new separately-released double album set "Mezmerize", here's how it looks:
01 - "Soldier Side" (Intro)
02 - "B.Y.O.B."
03 - "Revenga"
04 - "Cigaro"
05 - "Radio/Video"
06 - "This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song"
07 - "Violent Pornography"
08 - "Question!"
09 - "Sad Statue"
10 - "Old School Hollywood"
11 - "Lost In Hollywood"
The album will see a May 17th release date through American/Columbia.

Some cool titles, huh?

It's either "Cigaro" or "B.Y.O.B.".

Does it start with Daron Malakian sayn' "My cock it's much bigger than yours" ?

aye lay off My chemical romance, and JEW, they are quality bands!! im canot stop listing to My Chemical Romance - Im Not Ok (I Promise)

im actualy suprised and very jealous they play thoes bands on you're radio stations.. the radio stations here play absalute crap, and i would kill to hear some of them, althoe they have given the new JEW album some airtime much to my suprise...

system of a down have fully recorded the album, actuly 2 that are getting released, one within a few months the next at the end of the year.. for a band that is 'against money and all that bs' why they release to albums to make maximum profit, when they could of put it all on one CD..

Sorry dude, but you're way off on this one. :)

Bands make almost no money with album sales, pretty much all of it goes to the record label. In some cases (depending on the contract) the band only gets about 20 cents per album...

That's why nowadays bands are obliged (of course some do it because they want) to have radio-friendly songs or to release 4 or 5 singles from an album to fill up the record label's bank account...

...And that's also why record labels suck... And why most music nowadays also sucks... And I could go on...

Bands make most money thanks to Tours, Merchandise, etc... NOT from albums sales.

Dude it was system of a down decision to release two albums.. because they feel *insert some artistic bullshit here* as for 20cents per record.. i don't believe that.

And bands are under no obligation to make 'Radio friendly' singles..
i mean Ciagro.. "my cock is much bigger then you'res" im not sure thats a radio friendly single at all....

the first single from Green Day was 'american idiot' probley one of the heaviest songs in circulation in main stream radio last year... not what i would call a 'radio friendly song' when u compare it to holiday ect. but it was in heavy circulation.
Slipknot, Slayer, In Flames and many other bands have all being asked to make radio singles, but refused. they only make what they want to

record labels do suck yes, even worse when they produce crap like britney spears and all the rap shit that is coming out.

Dude it was system of a down decision to release two albums..

Yeah I know, they said they had enough ideas for 2 albums, so they did it. If it's a good or bad decision, I don't know, I'll have to hear both first. I was just saying that the money wasn't the reason, due to my other point. :)

as for 20cents per record.. i don't believe that.

You can bet that there some bands that don't even get 1 cent, but it's up to you to believe it or not. :)

So, which one is it? :P

I'm not saying ALL bands are obliged, but try to start a new band tomorrow with your friends that doesn't appeal the masses and you'll see what I mean.

Hell, that's not even necessary, just look at Linkin Park:

They used to be my favourite band. 'Hybrid Theory' is one of my favourite albums ever. Great stuff. Sold 15 million copies worldwide.

And then look at Meteora, which is nothing more than "Hybrid Theory 2", thanks to Mr. Don Gilmore and Warner Bros. and had 5 singles released...

And I won't even talk about "Collision Crap"...

Right now their fan base consists mostly of 12 years old girls who think the band members are "hawt". Sad.

They used to be great, but now they're just Warner's puppets.

Ah, and I wasn't specificaly talking about S.O.A.D. when it comes to radio-friendly singles.

they only make what they want to

Again, some do, but most don't.

record labels do suck yes, even worse when they produce crap like britney spears and all the rap shit that is coming out.

Damn right. :D

and on the rare occasion that a band gets it in the contract with the label that they get full artistic control over their albums, and completely ignore what the label wants (which i heavily applaud) the label sits on them and does nothing with them. Such is the case with Island/DefJam vs. CKY. They do whatever they want with their sound but the label does NOTHING to promote them. So they end up being mainly local favorites despite heavy touring. :(

Yeah, I have it too. I really like it, I think it's on pair with both their first album and Toxicity, which is only a good thing.
