$700K?
Not a chance, they'd be lucky to get $250-$300K for that car.
Still a nice car, but there just isn't the kind of demand to make it a $700K car.

your estimated price seems to be more logical
700K sounds wayy too much

I've seen XJ220's sell on eBay for around $200k....
$700k is ridiculous...
An XJ220 sold at a classic car auction in the UK in February this year for £66k. Even with the Dollar at its weakest for years that's still only $124k.
http://www.classic-auctions.co.uk/detaila.php?&sal_salno=70C&car_carno=10109&sal_type=CAR
Even going through prestige showrooms, and being previously owned by Sir Elton John, that car fetched a little over £110k. And it had extremely low milage :|

There is tax issues here. (100% tax + shipping)
An Audi A4 b7 3.0 is sale for US$94thousand
A Gallardo for US$450thousand
so...
but they ask only US$165thousand for this Jag
lol, I asked you guys about the price because I really have no idea how much this machine costs... I based my 700 thousand dollar price on the information that fast-autos.net gives here: http://www.fast-autos.net/jaguar/jaguarxj220.html
KramRS2, they are asking only 165 K for the xj220? unbeliveable cheap if you ask me, this is the price of a 99 F355...
by the way, where have those golden rims came from?

The XJ220 is probably at its lowest point in terms of value, it is not a classic yet, and no one appreciates it right now, because they are ludicrously expensive to maintain and don't really have any great draws. No classic sound, no V12, horrible brakes, and an uninspired interior all conspire to keep the price very low.

Bah... i've never been a big fan of XJ220's. I'd rather save up the extra and get a CGT... This month's evo reported that a yellow CGT was offered in the trade for £250k and didn't get any takers.... prices are coming down... now just a further £220k drop and i'll be able to get one!

Correct. :D
The only hypercar doing well is the Enzo, still trading at above £500k .... a healthy £80k profit 8)

Yep. The exclusivity of the Enzo undoubtedly helps.... though CGT's are declining in numbers. I've just heard from a friend that his friend was recently killed driving a CGT. The accident also involved a Koenigsegg and reputedly happened at over 180mph. :(

I really doubt Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can kill you.
About the Jag...I kind of like it but, realistically, it's just a straight-line rocket that is in need of a parachute.

Joking about dead people...
went there to see it too...here's the story on the car:
it belonged to this guy, who lives in interior of brazil, mato grosso....he couldn't sell the car here in sao paulo, 3 years ago, in the ferrari store....then, he tried to sell it last year, unsuccessfully, in another store, now he's trying the third one....he won't sell it....he's asking for too much....
There's only two of them here, one belongs to this guy, the other (which i've seen) belongs to a guy who owns a GT40, an aston martin v8 vantafe, a diablo, an EB110, a lister storm, and a CLKGTR, among others..... it's beautifull
They ask for 1 million reais...which adds up to be 300K dollars....but now it seems they've changed the price
^^ I heard another history concerning this Jag... a friend told me that it belongs to the Diniz family, and that they were asking 400 k dollars, a bit more than 1 million reais (using the 2,65 currency for today)
but he too told me that the car is being sold for a looong time
ouch! and how the hell I only see it now?
I hope this baby stay on the store until at least the next time I go to SP...

I went to Brazil a long time ago, but there is one thing that I cant forget... that was my father buying a pizza and having it stolen on the way to the apartment. When he came back, empty handed, he told us the story. I wonder how cars like that last longer than 1 week on the street.

700k is ridiculous?

the owner of the jag seems to be going through a hard time trying to sell it... there aren't much lucky guys with one million in the pocket to spend in a 10-year-old car
