Hello guys,
It's been a long time since I haven't submitted something in here...

I've got some free time now so I would like to share with you my little ride of the day. My best friend just bough a sec hand 911 turbo. I didn't like this car so much but still it is a beast! And I like the fact that there is very little chance to meet anything that can overstart it on the traffic lights... :D
Here I'll post some picture of the car, taken on the fly by a digital video recorder so the quality is not perfect...
We 've ride about 200 km inside the (monitored) belgian autobahns... so we didn't exeed 200km/h but I can tell you she is doing 200 so easy it was frustrating!

now the pics:

1st a little custom pic, even if I don't think we need this here... :P

BTW I didn't have the intention of take this car on picture so it isn't washed... sorry:oops:

I've made a little vid while driving and if you want it'll be on the vault in about 1h... I'm uploading it right now! enjoy!

You're lucky, according to belgian court rules, video-equipment isn't legal proof unless it's taped by the police or for shops if it has not been registered with the privacy commité and has a validation certificate. (most peoples home security camera's are NO proof in belgian court because they are not according to law, and you can even sue them if you brake your way in their house and they use the footage against you ;) )
So don't worry to much ;)

Remember that biker a few months back the media made a big fuss about? The one that was popping wheelies on the high way and raced the highway crossings, well they couldn't touch him with anything :P

All this is because footage can be edited and shit.

thanks for that thamar, didn't knew that, anyway I don't think my friend would like his plate to be shown in the web.. thanks tt for the removal... I admit I was a little lasy on that.

One of the biggest pissers in my life happened a few years ago. A good friend of my brother was a wealthy guy who owned his own business, who had a porsche 911 (alright, it wasnt a turbo, but hell, its a 911!) and he asked my brother if he would take it down to a garage some distance away, as the guy was selling it as it was costing him too much to run. Now my brother drives fast, and i mean FAST. Weather it is in his own 55bhp escort van, or his 1.8 V6 mazda - it doesnt matter, he drives quicly where permitted. Anyway, my school finishes at 2:45pm, and he drove right by my school at about 2:30!!! I missed quite possibly the drive of my life by 15 mins!! It certainly would have been one hell of a school run! ahh....anyway, it wasnt meant to be!

Very sorry for hijacking your thread mendocino, your friend has a very nice car there - no matter how popular they are, you still cant match them on sheer speed.

A very nice ride! I'm downloading the vid right now. I'll comment it after I've watched it ;)

EDIT: I've watched it now. Nice little vid. The acceleration is impressive!! And the interior colour really looks nice. I think it's by far the best interior colour for a blue 996.

thanks for your comment! the acceleration is good indeed but it will be better in 2 days when we'll put the "summer" tires! currently its on winter tires and we can't do a proper start on the warm tarmac... :? can't wait to floor that beast :D
