Dyer & Bowyer in amazing punch-up
Newcastle duo Lee Bowyer (left) and Kieron Dyer exchange blows
Newcastle pair Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer were sent off in disgrace for fighting during their side's 3-0 home defeat against Aston Villa.

What a brilliant example set by our top players yet again!, incidentanly another player for Birmingham was playing with an electronic tag on after being released early from prison after serving 30 days of a 3 month sentance for drink driving without a license

LOL...this doesn't happen everyday. At first glance I though this was just a regular punch up, I didn't see the players were from the same team :D I guess these things happen when 3-0 down and when you haven't got who to blame for the loss. I wonder what punishments FIFA will give them.
Damn, I miss the times when I lived in England and could watch MOTD every weekend. On the other hand I can watch Premiership matches here thx to cable, in England only Sky has the rights to show the games.

Bunch of muppets!
Can't believe the crowed boo'd the ref too. What else was he going to do when he saw two players throwing punches in the middle of the pitch! Absolute disgrace!

until the world cup comes round , thats what pisses me off sometimes when people rip the hell out of rooney inparticular, what short memories they have!. I agree they have all made mistakes but we aren't talking on these proportions. I honestly think being a Man Utd will change rooney for the better and we will have one of the best players to walk the earth EVER. Just look at the strength he showed for his assist against NI alright their defense were muppets but just about every other player would have fallen over but rooney fought through the hacks to create a goal.

Whilst improving his game, it is unfortunate that his ego grows at Man U.
I don't mind the way he plays, but i hate the way the press cover his life... "Rooney went shopping today/filled up a tank of fuel/went for a walk/was on a beach" etc... I couldn't give two fuck about that. It's unavoidable, and it's infuriating for me :|

LOL well imagine how he feels then :P to be honest it depends what paper you buy simply i won't buy/ read the tabloids cos they are either xenophobic, full of trash or both IMO :P (don't wanna start a political discussion tho  ) If you read the times/ telegraph etc at least the majority of the celeb gossip and other crap is kept out, and you can read the really good/ funny stuff on JW

Don't worry, a red-top never enters our house.
It's just that the public's (general) obsession with footballers, and not football is unhealthy.
I imagine that Rooney would be the most boring (though not as bad as ermm...ah....erm...uhm... David-stuttering-Beckham) person to have a normal conversation with.
Hell, although many are respectable people, the minority of players with absolutely no pride/shame/morals/sense of decorum really spoil the game for me. The fact that they are allowed to continue to play and that they lead such comfortable lifestlyles show that the game has gone to pot.
Money leads to corruption, especially for those who had none when they were growing up. Salaries should be cut. Heck - i live nextdoor to an ex-Man United player (70's) , yet we/he are by no means extraordinarly wealthy.
Bah... forget this rant... sod the lot of 'em

What do you expect from a bunch of tossers like Bowyer and Dyer? Two of my most-hated players even before this pathetic event took place.

well they are contesting his dismissal, and certainly bowyer instigated it, but i thought he did swing at him while being restrained

lol, i thought it was players from two different teams. I was wondering why a birmingham player was pulling dyer aside and trying to calm him down. idiots, where's bellamy when you need him.

Bellamy's a bit of a thug himself. He'd have probably joined in. Woodgate might have flown over as well to get a piece of the action
