And I can't wait till I see it on your FAQ list. 8)

^^^ BTW, don't expect much from Logitech support. If there other hardware support is an indication of their wheel support.

The user community will be your quickest cheapest support option.

Logitech has made beta drivers that are designed for DFP. They are much better. Improved force feedback and adjustable steering angle.

You can get them here http://www.wingmanteam.com/files/Patches/beta/LGS460ENU.exe

When it first came out it was $149.99 and I just couldnt justify spending that much money on it, nor do I have the money to spend on that...thanks to my gas guzzling truck..so I have been waiting for it to go down in price. Amazon.com has them for sale online now for $117.99 which is the best price I have seen so far, in case anyone else is in the same situation.

You can find it for a 100 USD on ebay or somewhere. Brand new also! And you can get some for like 80 bucks at this one place but they are re fuburished! :(

BTW a littla note- My friend GT Darin is not avaialbe since he fucked up his computer! :( So he will have to use his parents computer.

This is a weird question but would a DFP bought in Germany work on a US PS2?

I would think so. The US and Germany are both 110-120Volts so, in theory it should work in both countries with the correct adaptor for the mains plug.

I have a US DFP which I will be taking back to the UK, at which point I will need to buy a new powersupply as the UK is 240v.

there are adapters for that stuff too...something to get if you travel a lot but I dont know if I would plan on using one permenantly...

Hmm....a German DFP on a US PS2? Well I am guess the folks at Logitech German dont use the US plugs so you will have to get that converter thingy so you can plug it in and after that you should be set.

What I ment was... would a DFP bought in Germany connect & work with a US PS2 cause a jap game cant work on a US PS2.

Yes it will be fine, peripherals (Wheels, Dualshock) are all the same. The only issue you will have is the plug which goes into the electric socket in the wall may be a different shape, so you will need a North Europe to Asian/Philipino plug adaptor. IT might be cheaper/easier to buy a DC powersupply locally from an electric shop (doesnt have to be a logictech powersupply, but does need to have the correct DC output) and junk the German one that comes with the wheel.

Software is a different story, yes you are right about the games not working.

Socket's not a problem nor voltage. We're used to plugging in Singaporian/Hong Kong/US/Japanese/UK appliances with adapters, transformers, etc. Thanks for the warning though. :)

I might get the wheel from the US though. Sourcing the DFD here is a headache. The shop that sold me GT4 hasnt contacted me concerning it for over a month. The importer I talked too hasnt replied back. Logitech isnt bringing it in so I have to ask friends coming home for summer to bring 1 in for me. It wouldnt be a problem for them bar the fact it is 13-16 pounds!

Well online shopping without a credit card is really tough. You need to either transfer the money through a bank somehow or send in a money order or something.......to complicated, Id rather buy it localy.

I am the only who has problems with the damn thing or what!!!!!
I bought one for GT4 Prologue it worked fine untill about a month ago when the pedals started to stuff up on them, so I took it back got a replacment one and guess what now my new one is having the pedals stuff up worse then the old one was. Now I'm at the end of my limit and I'm thinking of changing back to the GT Force wheel which I know from friends dosn't stuff up.
I'm confused though I absolutly love the Force Pro wheel but I'm sick of having it stuff up at just the wrong times, and don't think I have abused it either I have treaded perfectly since pulling it out of the box and my driving style is not to smash the pedals I won't let friends use it who do do that to their wheels!!!
So basicaly I'm asking does anyone else have similar problems with their pedal boxes and do they know a way to fix it please help!!!!!!!!!!

SFDMALEX
05-18-2005, 10:05 PM
Well the pedals on this wheel are pretty shitty, its a known fact.
