Doesn't look like much of a change at all on the e55..

Isn't it true that the next generation of AMGs will have larger capacity naturally aspirated engines, i.e. rather than bi-turbo/supercharger?

Either way nice scoop 8)

OMG, I'm afraid to think what Brabus will make out of this. If the previous E-class was called "The Terminator", how they would call this one? "Doom's Day weapon"?
6.3 2xturbo tuned by Brabus, could be as much as 6.5 2xturbo boosting up to 1bar  600hp at least.... Then instead rolling on the road, it would roll the road under itself :P I'll wait for the Brabus version of this engine, just to scream "I want it"

Could this be an E500, with an SL65 bumper? I don't understand why somebody would change to the non-amg wheel, and it looks like fairly standard rubber under it? :? Those engine specs sound insane though! 4.0 ? Can this be verified? :P

I think this might just be a bodykitted E-Class. Those rear tires couldnt be any bigger than 225s. Also those are the old AMG wheels. One more point that doesnt look like an intercooler at all.

Those engine specs sound insane though!

The last figure I heard of was even higher - 571hp.

4.0 ? Can this be verified? :P

The time to 60 (or 100kph) won't differ much from the current E55 I'd say. MBs traction control kills way too much power to that.

i'm pretty sure the next gen of 6.3 engines from merc WILL be forced induced...other than that, i posted pics of a e63 or e65 a long time ago, no one believed it...but then again, it could always be just another guy with money to get a new bumper...i'm actually lookin for one for a client's c class...

It also has occured to me as if it had 571hp from 6.3l of displc. it would have to be either forced inducted (and hence lots of torque which suits those heavy mercs) or relatively high-revving (which does not suit that much)... Or there might be two versions under development - a less powerful NA one intended for ML,CLK etc. and a supercharged one for the upper classes - which might cause the confusion.

The new 6.3litre AMG V8 is N/A.

How can you be so sure ?

I've heard the same thing but the point is whether the more powerful one is NA as there apparently really are two versions under development as I claimed. As autobild stated - there is a 463-500hp version (definitely NA, to be used in ML63 for instance) and a 550-580hp version which is set to supercede the 500hp V8K. They all say the new V8 will be NA, but that doesn't have to mean it won't have it supercharged version.

I can't be sure. The thing is that I have never heard of a supercharged version of the new 6.3 litre V8 so that's why I thought I was sure it's N/A. It may very well be a supercharged version of that engine, only I haven't heard of that.

there will be a 65 and a 63 from what i understand. 65 is the SL65/CL65 engine, 6.3 is the new V8 N/A. WHo knows though. Time will tell.

I donīt think itīs the new E63. The father of a friend of mine has a new SL55 and it has the same front spoiler as this one. I think AMG will only use this front in their current models. So i guess this is a new E55 AMG...

Personally i dont think the squaredness of the new front bumper works with mercs curves. Hopefully they move to n/a.
