Dman, that's sad. I understand how dissapointed you must be. The only thing you can at least TRY to do is to forget. Life doesn't end after one relationship, just give your self some time to get over it, hang out with your friends etc.

Revenge is never an option...it justmakes things worse although we have the will sometimes :(

Try to stay busy. Time is a healer.

I hope everything turns out well for you and your kid.

I know it's hard, but stay strong and don't do anything stupid. Revenge and stuff is not the answer.

Hi a007apl

I'm sorry to hear about your bad news, I really am. I can only begin to imagine how you feel right now.

Try and keep yourself busy and this will help you keep your mind off of the situation a little.

Throw yourself into your job, go to the gym if you don't already (this will help in many ways, you'll get fitter, feel better in your mind as well as your body, make new friends).

You are in your prime at 32, mate! As Fleischmann said, "Life doesn't end after one relationship" but you do need to give yourself time for the hurt to heal. By all means have a few drinks to relax, but don't get too drunk or you might do something stupid that you later regret. Remember, alcohol is a depressant as well so take it easy.

The community around you at JW is not going anywhere, if it helps you to be reminded of this. We're all human and can understand how you feel even if we only know oneanother 'virtually'.

I have MSNM and I am in a similar time zone to you, if you want to chat then just PM me.

You are a brave guy to share this with us so I can tell you are brave enough to face this difficult time in your life.

Co-incidentally, my (step)dad is my best mate as well !

Hey a007apl, if you want - talk it over with her, if not - dont.
With communication you can solve biggest problems. You can refuse communicate/ not to talk with her too, its your right.

I understand that you feel Anger, but don't do some bad things you would regret later. Now you can feel mad about it and feel that you shold do something, later you will not think so. If you DO something bad it will hurt your son, if something happens to someone(you or them) and you'll be in jail or hospital, it will hurt your son again.

Better dont get drunk, better just cry it out like a man, you'll feel much better.

Show your son how a real MAN solve situations like this cause he'll remember it all his life. You set the example for him now.

I am sure you could get custody of your son with a good lawyer. Your wife has committed adultery, and that is not a good example for your son, as a starter. She won't necessarily get custody just because she is his mother.

a007, I'm sorry to hear this. The only thing you can really do to hurt her more than what she's hurt you is to prove in the courts that you are the better parent. Get pics of her with this guy and show the courts what a dishonest, unloyal little cunt she is, and have your lawyer (They know what works in court) ask the judge if he/she would want their child to be raised by one with no ethics or morals. Prove that you can better provide for your son and you should be able to get custody. If not full, at least majority.

I know english is a difficult language for you, so i apologize if not all of this makes sense.

I agree with the advice given earlier about going out and doing some new things. Fresh air, good friends and a hell of a lot of fun always seems to help this out the crap that piles on :D

Maybe it's a missunderstanding... don't know.

If she really did it, then she is not worthy of your respect. She should at least think of your son, that has no fault in the middle of this, and WILL get hurt. These situations are really bad for the kids.

Hang in there, and try to support your kid, and not telling him that his mother is a slut and thinks like that because he will always love her and if you tell him that he will get angry with you.

yea man definitly terrible to hear. i have no idea how hard it must be to find this out considering you were married for 5 years. i have been dating my current g/f for like a year and a half and pretty recently i found out that she cheated on me a long time ago with some asshole bartender whom she worked with. it absolutely crushed me to hear, i still dont know what im going to do i.e. break up or not.

and yea revenge is not the best thing even though im sure you want to rip his face off, (as i did lol). just try to go out with friends and all, like most of you guys have already said. and definitly support your son as i am sure you will. time will make it better, i wish you all the best a007apl.

im really sorry, a007apl :( a very sad event.. one im familiar with
the same thing happened with my dad and his 2nd wife... thankfully there werent any children...

when my folks split up years ago, it took almost 4 years before my father got costody of me... and he was more able to provide a better growing experience for me then my mom.

as said earlier, keeping busy is the answer. good luck friend
