Do you think the BMW 7 really needs a facelift?? I know is a bit controversial but it's a very original car, and I know I disagree with lots and lots of people but I like Bangle's work...his desings are very diferent...you won't mistake his cars with any other thing out there...I know the official facelift hasn't been officially released but here are some ideas....honestly I don't think it needs a facelift.

What do you think?, the last concept is quite good, but still I like the original.

i use a E65 745i as my daily driver and i don`t like the facelift at all, IMO it`s looks better with the "old" style...

...i´m glad that ppl stopped to criticise the car just for it`s look, it`s always been up to BMW to introduce new technologies and styles, that`s why i´ve always loved BMW and as far as i remember i´ve always had at least one BMW because they´re just building the best cars for my taste, sporty, elegant and with all the latest tech features...
in spring i´ll buy an E60 for my wife, because i see no reason why to go for an Audi or MB or something like that...
IMO Chris Bangle did a great job with all four cars he designed so far, and i´m really looking forward to all the upcomming BMWs...

I'm getting use to the new design direction that BMW has taken with the new models and this face-lift is favorable.

i like the e65 7 series but if there is gonna be a change do it to the rear. its a bit scary but on the other hand the front is perfect so just change the back.

i love the old one the new one dosnt have teh character of the older model. i also prefer this to an s-class. i sat in both at the motor show and the BMW was just a little more special.

OMG!!! the second picture looks great in my oppinion. Yeah I liked the previous model more than the current one and also more than the possibly future one, but the 2nd pic is better than the rest posted here in my opinion... Hope something like that is done for the 5's series as for the 6, it looks great as it is... some minor changes maybe.

I'm really glad someone else thinks good of Bangle's desings....who knows with what he'll come up next :D I confess that I did had my doubts when the current 7 came out, but when I saw it in real life, man I loved it :D It's incredible how pictures sometimes fool you...

As justin said.. The only problem with this one is rear.. It looks so ugly.. Previous one is much better for just rear IMO.. Front is really good I though..

to be honest, i really liked the styling of the new bmw"s!!!!!!!!!!!!! i did not think they needed to change the styling of the 7 series, people just needed to adapt to it.
i pesonally think the change for the new 7 series is unnecessary, it was a great car to begin with.
And along with the 5 series, Sure it was an amazing car!!!!!!!!!! It still is!!!!! but you can only advance a car so much at some times..... BMW has done a geat job with their new styling and performance. I am glad they never changed it because of magazine/tv dislikings!!!!!

I like the third pic! I've always liked BMWs. There's something about them I like alot! They look "mean" somehow...they're badasses!...in a good way :)

I cant believe it! teh s-class is too common and just oo ordinary, the 7-series is a little more rare and in my opinion interseting to look at! Go BMW.

...EXACTELY!!!

i´ve also tested the S500 before i bought the E65, and IMO the BMW IS the better car, although the interior of the S-class is a class of it`s own, so congratulation to MB, they really know how to design an interior, BUT as cho said, everything is too common, interiour AND exterior...
and about the handling and performanc topic, BMW has always been superiour, just look at the new 645Ci: such a big coupe that only weights 1600kg, that´s the way to go: reducing weight should be on top of the requirement specification of any manufacturer who`s intention is to build a sportive car. it`s not enough to install a 612hp/740lb-ft engine instead...

I like Bangle's work, but the headlights of the current 7 series aren't to my taste. The second picture looks much better. I liked the rest of the car already.

I'm beginning to really like it. The designer of the old Porsche 928, a car that at the time was controversial in a stylistic sense; said that he knew if he had a winning design if a bunch of people did not like the way the car looked if they saw it for the first time, he said that gradually the 'bad design' starts to grow on them. That was the basis of a timeless design, according to him.

I'm convinced that in ten years time, practically everyone will say: "Chris Bangle was right all along." BMWs were looking very much alike, the design wasn't really going anywhere. It needed a boost. Park the old 5 series next to the new and the old one looks very dated.

Well, he should let somone design the rear ends at least - thank God Bangle is not Jlo`s plastic Surgeon - she would wake up from surgery with 4 butt cheeks or something

I like the looks of the new seven, i dont understand why everyone is critisising BMWs latest design.None of BMWs new cars looks boring, you can look at seven series every day and every time discovering a new detail you hadnt seen before, its design stimulates the eye. I dont agree with the early facelift ,it is as if BMW accepted thats its new design direction was a bit wrong

Hmm... Although Chris Bangle cannot be forgiven for what he did to the BMW line up, the facelifted 7 series looks rather boring and uninspiring compared to the mind-boggling current model[/img]

I think the flames design, or whatever they call it, looks great on the 7-series because it makes it look astonishingly aggressive and big. But on the 5-series, it looks like crap.

Yes the new 5-series DOES look like crap..but not crappier than Cayenne

I like the 3rd picture--- for now the car is fine,,,if they change the looks it should only be slightly

If I had bought a 7-series and after that they would have facelifted it, I wouldn't be happy. It is a different look but I like it - black with Alpina rims - though sometimes, it depends on wich angle, the car doesn't seems right.

New 5 series looks like crap?

WHATS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU????

Anyways about the 7......a facelift would make the car look sportier as from the spy pics I have seen. It would make it look sleeker and all but oh god please dont do what BMW did with the previous 7 Series (E38).

When they facelifted it they ruined the headlights and made it look even more of an old mans car

As long as they keep the sporting flare of BMW in the new facelifted 7 Series, its all good for me :)
