I am so glad that it's not a mobile phone.

And it is called teh 75th Birdcage so far.

Wild... but I like it. :) It's very appealing in a modern way.

Unusual, but I actually like it. Too bad this is about as far as the car will make it. No one would put that into producion!

Which is a shame, isn't it?

It's the glasshouse cockpit that's going to prevent that car from going into production... unless they use some sort of brand new, super material that is both see-through, very lightweight, AND can hold the car up in case it flips over.

Which is highly unlikely really. :)

1500kg + 700+hp

1500Kg kinda ruins the whole point of the original birdcage masers which were built that way to be lightweight

I do like the car a lot, but I like how they managed to make such a radical car. It looks great, and dammn who would ever imagine a car that opens up that way?

BTW where did you get the pic in your sig from?

lexan or whatever the stuff is called, they use it among others for visors for racing helmets...if thick enough it's bullet proof i believe..

Birdcage? Why? Because you have few tubes on the dash?
In comparison the original was a real birdcage

lol i hope u see what i mean...the body of the new birdcage is low, with its wheel arches sticking out above it, just like the old birdcage

I got your point gucom, but a lot of sports car (including the Porsche GT and other Porsches) have this particularity due to the fact the the wheels are getting bigger but the front still need to be low to reduce the wind resistance and the drag coeficient, and generate good down force for hight speed stability.
