My high school might be the first in my state to win both Boys and Girls 5A state championships. Last night we beat the #3 team, and defending state champs, 58-63 in double overtime. Our boys team is ranked #6 and we play #2 next friday. Our girls team is ranked #1 and they are the defending champs. Wish us luck that we win double titles!!!

^^^not entirely true, our school just finished up our soccer season. My soccer team went to the championship game for the second time in the history of the school. Unfortunatly we lost 7-3 (damn brazilians). The only other time our school has been in the championship game was in 1978 when they won, so I'd say it was a good end to my high school soccer career.
Anyways good luck to your team CS, make some history of your own.

good luck with that.
My High School was pretty much a 6A school. They recruited all of their players so we had winning teams in just about everything accept hockey they sucked. 3 years in a row we were undefeated in Football. State almost every year as far back as I know for Baseball. Soccer was always winning. Track won almost every meet they attended. It got to the point where no one really paid that much attention accept to Football of course.
OH BTW where are you from? what state are they #6 and #1?

Sorry I forgot to mention the sport, basketball. I live in Az. Both teams have already swept up the regionals pretty easy, and our girls are most def gonna win this year. It's just we have to face #2, and #1 (in that order) to win state. My school isn't a large school. Infact we should be playing in 2A, but for some reason we've always been pretty damn good in football, basketball, and fairly good in Baseball. And yes there's a shitload of parties going on. Infact I was just at one at my friends house, who lives literally 30 seconds away. I got pretty damn loaded :)

I don't know why you guys actually give a fuck about your schools' sports teams. :? Shouldn't academics be the most important and prestigious part of a school? :o

Shouldn't academics be the most important and prestigious part of a school? :o Who says we don't care about our academics? The reason why we care about our schools' sports teams is b/c our friends are on the teams, and plus it's our school. Why wouldn't you support the team?

Why wouldn't you support the team?
Because schools usually spend too much of their resources on sports teams instead of spending them on academics.

Because schools usually spend too much of their resources on sports teams instead of spending them on academics. Most of our sports equipment aren't bought, they're donated. I goto a private school, so we're not exactly able to go out and buy a $1,000,000 worth of new sports stuff. And all the other money we do get, it's used to help us stay out of debt, or for a new building.

Exactly I went to a rivate school aswell and I agree but I think it's also good because it brings more attention to the school from other sources. And my school was damn focused on academics
