Apprentice & GT4

First , I didn't put this in the videogames....section because I want to talk about advertising and not the game itself.

We all know how succesfull the Gran Turismo product is.

I think it is genious to combine all this hype and the reality show.
The two teams will be working for Sony playstation .

I'm just about to watch the latest Apprentice. I actually watched the first 5 minutes or so.

Anyway, the two teams must advertise the new GT4 using grafitti.

What better way to advertise the game. It's a 40 minute comercial for GT4 and millions saw it. This I'm sure will boost the sales even more in the states.

I always wanted to know how much money do the big companies have to pay to be a part of the apprentice. I can imagine we're talking BIG numbers....

I saw the whole thing, i think the idea was terrible. The GT series just isnt something that should be advertised with graffiti IMO. Neither of the teams did a great job of conveying any actually aspects of the game. That being said one was deffinatly better than the other and I agree with the Sony Execs choice.

it was so horrible, this apprentice sucks so much compared to the first one. in the first apprentice, they actually had people who seemed like they would be able to handle the job as the "apprentice". in the 2nd one there was like 1 or 2 people who i think could acutally do the job. and in this apprentice i dont think any of the people on that show have the ability. very sad, and i hope that the only job trump gives them is cleaning toilets, and even then im not sure they will be able to do that.

I didnt't see the first season. Only the second. And yes 1 or 2 people IMO were good for the job. And the right man won.

In this season I think one guy stands out. From the street smarts. I think his name is John.

About the GT4 thing. The whole thing wasn't such a good idea. I mean, the graffiti thing. And I think both teams screwed up.

Sounds like another "reality TV" piece of crap.

I watched a few episodes of the "The Apprentice" to have a point of discussion - and it was evident from the first 30 seconds it was absolute shit.

Crap - intellectual manure.

Combining GT4, Apprentice and TV was a poor attempt at best. And you all wonder how PD could have fucked GT4 up so badly - easy, Sony is in charge.

Wait till Martha Stewart's Apprentice show comes out. That's all we are going to hear in the US for months on end. The only reality show that I would watch is if they did a Cop's style show featuring our men and women patrolling the streets of Baghdad.

Ok, there is also an 'apprentice' being aired in england at the moment too, with a big buisness bloke in the UK, sir Alan someone or something like that. Im guessing its different to the one you guys are talking about but along the same lines.
The last one i watched was just fucking pathetic. The candidates are self obsessed assholes who think the have 'talent'. Bullshit i say they may read the financial times every day and maybee even understand it, but they are all so oppinionated that 'team work' that they have to participate in is just amusing to watch.
And then as soon as the ship starts to sink (and one is to be sacked) oh well now its every man (or women, particularly bitchy in this) for himself oh how the last ditch efforts to shift the blame in the board room amuse.

Im guessing the formats between shows are similar and my views are equally applicable to your series. If not then just ignore lol. :wink:

EDIT: this is quite coincidental, but the 1st two episodes of 'the apprentice' have just come on TV. Its sir alan sugar self made millionare on the british one.
And this is just great comedy.

There was another "apprentice" aired on British TV a few months ago... I think it was some billionaire in America, can't quite remember though

As for commersials, I've always thought that it'd be a good idea for a Car game to have a comersial where there Is some guy that starts driving his car fast and then gets home. After getting in his apartment, sits down on one of those SEMA seats with the Logitec steering wheel and starts driving like crazy again but on the GT4 this time lolz. Thad be cool.
