Hehe, such a late update
Nice ones, as usual; the ACS 7 series is quite rare, I've never seen one of those (even in pics)
The grey 996 looks so clean and the Techart rims fit lovely to the Cayenne
My favourite one is the back of the Viper, americal muscle http://www.forum-auto.com/smileys/rs.gif

Wow! That 911 GT2 is stunning!
So TT, what did you think of the shape of the SRT-10 in person? :D
That Cayenne looks good lowered(?) and with those gigantic wheels. 8)
I think you have said it, but what do you to for living? It seems that you have way too much free time in your hand.

The viper pics make wanna buy a new camery today! The night shots are great!
And the GT2 looks so agressive.
Does that slammed down Cayenne Turbo have techart wheels?

Nice set as always....
Wow! That 911 GT2 is stunning!

Well, I loved it and A LOT! t has great presence, it is mean, and when you see one especially here where they are rare, you just forget all the hp / liter, consumption or efficiency stuff, you just want the owner to turn it on and take off in a big could of smoke :D
That Cayenne looks good lowered(?) and with those gigantic wheels. 8)
I don't know if it's just the angle the parking has that makes it or if it had the suspension on the lower position, definitely looking cool for a pic :D
(the owner was inside BTW, and when I walked past it to get the 996TT pic), I noticed he was staring at me pretty puzzled. Probably wondering why the fuck I was taking pics of a Cayenne in Monaco :D)
I think you have said it, but what do you to for living? It seems that you have way too much free time in your hand.

I am a student, so yes, I have some spare time, but I think everybody on this planet has 5 free minutes in an average day.. especially when it's about taking a pic of a car you see once in a year or something like that
BTW, most of my pics are taken while driving around for errands or other stuff. When I go to Geneva ok, I go there just to have a walk and take pics, but in Lausanne I never go out just with that idea :)
Ok, I admit for the SRT10 I got a phone call by a friend near midnight about it and I just took camera and tripod to go take some pics.. it needed a total of 20 minutes with editing incuded ;)

Nice set as always....
They definitely have a Techart feeling to me, but beeing Porsche badged make it hard to be 100% sure

Nice as we expect, the GT2 is just great....to look at anyway, as driving it might be a bit scary with RWD and no TCS :)
I agree with you on the Viper, it sure has a unique presence on the road...not my first choice for that much money but I wouldn't mind it :D
Thansk for the pics
From now on I must admit I changed a little bit the way I take pics. The difference is pretty obvious, and again I was inspired by Salegosse ;) you tell me if it's a good idea, but I think so ;)
It might be because I have been editing pics for the last 2hrs so my eyes are going all funny, but what exactly is the difference? :?
Well, the most noticeable difference is the way I am placing the car into the frame.. while untill now it was often something like this:
http://www.swisscarsightings.com/porsche/thumbs/Porsche%20997%20Carrera%20S%20066.jpg (http://www.swisscarsightings.com/porsche/Porsche%20997%20Carrera%20S%20066.jpg)
With lot of air around the car, to show also the surroundings (that was my idea)
Now most of the pics will be more like this:
http://www.swisscarsightings.com/porsche/thumbs/Porsche%20996%20GT2%20133.jpg (http://www.swisscarsightings.com/porsche/Porsche%20996%20GT2%20133.jpg)
Just the car as a subject basically.
I also try when possible (again thanks to Salegosse), to step back and zoom on the car instead of going closer to it... still not sure if we are just seeng things, but it seems to do a difference ;)
As for the rest, the editing is always the same as before ;)

aahhh ok I got it.....well I don't really have a preference, with one method you get maybe a nicer overall pic while with the other you can see more of the details of the car :)
As for the zoom issue, I can't see how it would make a difference....i always thought is was better to get as close as possible instead of relying on the zoom :?

I don't know how, but it does make a difference if you zoom in , or stand close to a car.

Lovely pics matteo :D I like your new method, so long as we get to see some of the background when you are in a beautiful location :D Congrats on te SRT-10 sighting, not sure i'll ever see one in the flesh LOL Good to see your minions working hard to spot cars for you :D Also LOL at the thought of the little smart car as a persuit vehicle :P So do you miss that little baby atall? or is it just nice to be able to do over 45km again :D
BTW nice new logo on the later pics, new? or did i only just notice it? :-)

Yes, I always thought the same, and even if my brain still tells me he can't really put the finger on the difference, there is indeed something.
And as long as you don't rely on the digital zoom but only the optical one, you won't mess up the quality of the shot :)

If you think it could be possible to miss a Smart, and even worst a Smart 45 it is because you never drove one!
And it is obviously the worst pursuit veichle you could imagine! I was lucky for the Gt2 but because of that thing I missed a black 550 and a black Scaglietti :bah:

Well it was done some weeks ago by Chaos but the pics watermarked with it are just starting to come from now on ;)

Again some nice shots. The one with the SRT-10 and the background with the blueish light is superb! And of course those GT2 pics are always welcome :)
As for the zoom issue, I can't see how it would make a difference....i always thought is was better to get as close as possible instead of relying on the zoom :?
Well without a tripod it is idd better not to use the zoom when there isn't enough light. Otherwise you have to use a slower shutter speed and the pic can become a bit blurry. But you won't have any problems with that if there is enough light or if you use a tripod.
When zooming in, the focused region becomes a bit smaller. If you use a big aperture (lower f-number), this effect will be even more increased. So if you zoom in and use a big aperture, the car you focus on, will be very sharp and the background will be unsharp. You won't really notice the difference without a big aperture or high zoom, but you're eyes will still feel the objected you focused on as more accentuated.

I just want to share with you my opinion: if like me you are a picture freak and enjoy taking pics, you should print out at least some of them! it's totally different to enjoy them on photo paper instead of the PC. On the PC it is easier to find a specific pic, but to have an album you can check out every now and then it's a pleasure on a different level :D and an album can't crash ;)

As for the discussion about pics from far away or not, well, I did a quick test today:
Far away:
http://img179.exs.cx/img179/3428/997loin4cy.th.jpg (http://img179.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img179&image=997loin4cy.jpg)
nice isn't it?
From two steps away:
http://img179.exs.cx/img179/4112/997pres2wy.th.jpg (http://img179.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img179&image=997pres2wy.jpg)
Sorry but compared to the first, the second one is crap :?
I guess it is also up to the shape of the lense, wich beeing curved distorts the subjects
Anonymous

Never even thought of the difference, its not just your eyes though TT, definately they are noticeably different :D the first being much better to my eyes too :D , lense is a logical explanation i guess as you say, though i know nothing about photography. As i've said before as long as you are in a "normal location" the close up pics look great IMO :D

How much did it cost?
Here at colormailer.ch I pay for the 11x15 cm ones, 0.45 CHF each if I order an amount included between 60 and 120 pics as I usually do ( http://colormailer.ch/prices.cpl?lang=en#1 )
Shipping is a mere 5 francs and it usually takes 48 hours to receive them in my mailbox :)
it's pretty cheap actually IMO! I am sure there is something similar in your country
I print my own pics, but I havnt got that many cars to take pics of as you got TT... :(
Do not think for a second that I don't realize how lucky I am, living where I live obviously! You can hunt as much as you want, but if you live on the moon, you will have some troubles taking home even just a couple of pics :P
