Well this year sucked. Some or other British shipping f$#^ up and the best cars couldn't make it.
We are talking David Piper's
Ferrari 250/275LMhttp://e.co.za/Cars/ferrari.html
, Porsche 917 and McLaren M1 and M6 among others.
Bernd Becker's Porsche 908 didn't come either. 8(
And because the format is really pre-1972 Le Mans, the organisers wouldn't allow Franz Pretorius to play with his Porsche 956http://e.co.za/Cars/porsche.html. Sad really as it is really hard to get good classic cars around South Africa.
But there where some good cars as always.
My favourite was a Chevron B16 which was easily the fastest on the day. It proved again how important low weight is in a racecar. A local B8 owned by Jonathan du Toit is always right up with the best too!
Another interesting car was a new-ish Martini Porsche RSR replica. Damn that thing is fast!
Some basic private cars around but nothing major. All in all quite a disappointment.
So unfortunately I did not take too many photos, but there are some interesting ones, including the HUUUUUUUUUGE new Rolls Royce.
