I have no problem with one guy/team being successful, and in no way should they be penalised or moaned at for this. Its just the complete lack of racing thats the problem.

Look at Moto GP for instance, Rossi has dominated to a similar degree to Schumi. More so when he was on the Honda. But the racing is sooo much better to watch. This is because its possible to overtake and seems easier/more costly to make a mistake.

No matter how well other teams cars go this year, some will always be significantly faster than others, so the racing will not be improved. The only way to sort out F1's "problem", IMO, is to introduce radical car changes with a significant reduction in the reliance on aero grip. This would remove the dirty air problem, reduce cornering speeds and increase braking distance. All of which would increase the overtaking opportunities significantly. Whats Max Moseley's number?

Dont fret too much ... with the way Renault and Mclaren are performing in pre-season testing it looks like this season will be very close particularly while Ferrari are using their 2004M spec car.

Last year McLaren and BAR were blazing in pre-season testing while Ferrari was pretty ordinary. It turned out that their performance flattered to deceive. Ferrari was testing on different circuits from the Michelin boys. The latter tested on circuits that did not exploit high speed characteristics of the car. Come Melbourne, Ferrari thrashed them in a manner rarely seen.

This year however, all the top players have been testing in similar circuits and Renault and Mclaren have shown superior speed to the Ferrari.

I think Ferrari might be on the backfoot till the F2005 comes out. Season looks good from a racing standpoint. Unless of course Ferrari is delibrately sand-bagging their performance.

Last year's racing was awesome, there is no "problem with F1"(well there was no problem, this years tyre rules prob will change that) you still have more viewers watching F1 then MotoGP. I wouldnt compare the 2 anyway, motorbikes are way more narrower than F1 cars. They should be racing on narrower tracks to make it a fair comparision :P
Also tactically its a different ball game. In F1, its lap after lap trying to get fastest time, little room for error, in MotoGP, u can sit back for 90% of the race then attack the final few laps and win.

F1 has moved on from 20yrs ago even 10yrs ago but ppl still expect the same sort of racing with different regulations. Besides looking at who wins at the end there have been alot of fantastic racing the past couple of years and it annoys me to no end when ppl say F1 is boring. You certainly must be watching a different sport.

These new rules Max is imposing could backfire well we will see in 1.5 weeks time.

Yeah they have an advantage on Reliability but what they dont have control of is the development of the tyres which this year will be critical since they have to last the whole weekend(wat was Max smoking when he thought of that??) that could be wat could bring down Ferrari's domination. I hope MS and Ferrari are just dumbing down stuff to suprise everyone, like last year ;)
