The car is said to be powered by a 2.5l turbocharged I5 producing roughly 220hp.

It looks fantastic with this colour and wheels.But i don`t think it`s going to get 2.5engine.I`ve read that they are planning to but 2.0turbo, same engine they used in focus rs.

It's quite a soft tune...I reckon the torque curve will be pretty flat and the power very accessible on the other hand...Higher power figure is being saved for the RS version btw.

I thought Ford already canceled the RS version. Either way this looks really good, with enough power to be competative. Too bad it will never see American shores.

The RS Focus has not been shelved. The RS Fiesta has, but there is a possibility that it may still make production!
As for the engine, Ford always under quote the power. Mainly so that the car will fit into lower insurance groups. I would have thought it will be close to 230bhp. Even then, the new Duratec engine will be increadibly tunable.

turbo 2.5L I5? They're putting the T5 from volvo into the Focus??? Not sure whether it's a good or bad thing. The engine will be literally bulletproof but I'm sure jeremy will make a good joke out of that :lol:
Very nice car nonetheless, too bad they probably won't sell it in north america. The current gen "revised" focus is boring.

The car is really beautiful :o Much better than the original Focus mk2.
The front bumper is similar to the new Ibiza Cupra :wink:
But a 2.5L engine, turbo, with just 220 hp ?!?! The previous RS had a 2.0L with 220hp. This should be the specs of the new ST, in order to fight the Golf GTi and the new Astra OPC.
And what about the new Focus RS ?? If the ST will have a 2.5L, what engine will have the RS ??? Even bigger ?? :shock:

New Focus RS (if there is one) will be powerful enough to compete with Evo and STi I reckon, this ST is a competitor for the WRX 225hp and the rest of the 200hp-ish crowd, civic type-r etc. Again I think the RS is likely to have a 2.5 also, but bigger turbo/i-cooler and in a higher state of tune, 300hp easy. It'll be 4WD, I am guessing the ST is FWD. Not sure if it is the volvo engine they are dropping in or what though - the volvo 2.5T comes in 250 (T5) and 300 (R) hp states of tune IIRC.
As Jon S said the Fiesta RS has been shelved.
I really like this ST, not too mad about the 'black and decker' orange colour however :roll: , I'd like to see it in the RS blue 8) .

Yep, it's Volvo's T5 engine in the low hp version of the S40/V50.

If the RS version will come out with 4WD trasmission it will be like a Cosworth version. In the previous version of Focus, they announced a Cosworth version with 300bhp and 4WD but the car never came out :x
Thank god this version is much more agressive than the previous ST version. The future RS should very agressive. At least, I hope so :lol:

Dear god i think i mite just vomit.
I think it looks shite, i prefer the looks of mine any day, regardless of the 220 bhp. Give me a turbo conversion, or a Mk 1 RS any day!

Very nice for a ford, hope they go through with the RS. Should be a nice hot hatch with some balls :twisted: .
