I have one of those exact mounts, it works very well. A few of the UK car mags use them also I think.

Recommended. :)

...want to buy this one...
can u gimme some more details - is it compatible with all mini DV´s ???
i think i´m gonna buy a Sony DCR PC 350 in some weeks and definitely need such a mount for the cars - is it strong enough to deal with a bumpy surface in combination with some lateral g´s - like driving on a racetrack like Nordschleife...???

again, ANY infos would be so much appreciated, THX in advance...

btw, a huge THANKS to a007apl for posting that link :P

Wow, that looks pretty sweet, although I probably wouldn't risk putting my camera outside the vechicle.

st-anger do you know any source where to get these mounting kits in austria or germany? I only once saw this one http://www.b-hague.co.uk/SUCTION/sm7.jpg available on ebay germany.

I wouldn´t trust such a kit on the nordschleife.

...sure, bought my digi cams here:

http://www.kuecher.com/

and they can order all the stuff within 2 weeks - the stuff is from here:

http://www.manfrotto.com/home/

...i know that it might not be very suitable for e.g. NS (track) driving, but i need a system that is useable everywhere, so no given point - i taped some material with a mini dv with the cam installed on the roll cage, but not every car has a roll cage  so i definitely need a system that is installable at the e.g. side window ( inner side of course, the cam is 1600€ so kinda expensive to probably "loose" it outside  ) or front window...
the cam itself is only 500g so weight should be no problem, i think it can carry +/- 3kg...

maybe some experts will read this here - so i can post my question here as well, i NEED to find out a system for taping the speedo only with some kind of pen cam, should be very small and compact - have asked in the store but there´re only systems available for taping max. 10mins with SD cards - this is definitely too less!!!

any ideas on that.....!!!???

The Hague mount is compatible with the majority of cameras, it uses the tripod screw mount underneath.

And it would easily cope with the 'Ring, although the authorities will more than likely not allow you out on the road with a camera in the car. They are quite strict on these now, best bet if your serious is to get a bullet cam and mount it well hidden instead imho.

I've got Canon MV700i and the Hague mount and it withstood some very bumpy roads in Scotland, at three figure speeds, with no problems at all. That suction pad is quite strong!

lol, and don´t worry - i´ve laped many thousands of laps at NS and in former times it´s been my working place - partly

but u say it - always really interesting and funny to watch the foreign ppl ( who don´t know this ) when they have to remove or hand in their cams

I use this one from Mama and am very happy with it.

With its long arm, you can mount it on side window as well and get a reasonable central view.

yeah, we've seen a few people get told to remove obvious cameras before now, but you can still do it if you're careful :)

I haven't been for a couple of years now, wish I could go back there, awesome track 8)
