as it is a hell of a lot cheaper, but a) I don't have an e-bay account and b) I am away all weekend. Any chance someone can bit for me and I refund via paypal?? pretty please :)

Standard they look like:
http://img103.exs.cx/img103/866/fez49wg.jpg

They cost £90 in the UK. Just found out the postage 50EURO. They cost so much because they are genuine Ford RS items.

The plan is:

In order to fit Brembo brakes, I need slightly larger wheels, and the car looks very jaked up even with coilovers fitted. So I am getting the most subtle skirts on the market.

This finished article will look like this, but without black wheels:

Also, my car will be going RS blue.

As i said last night I am taking it off the road for a year and getting another car. You have to remember that it will be pushing over 200bhp when finished, and Brembos are fantastic brakes for the track. I was considering Focus ST Brakes, but considering this will be a track car I am not sure they are up to the abuse they will get. It may be my biking background, but brakes are somehting I am willing to spend wonga on.

As for what wheels, I am undecided at the moment. Weight is the biggest factor, then I need to make sure I can fir the Brembos under them, the owner of the red car had to move the balance weights to get them on.

The car will be stripped out, and resprayed.

The engine bay is going to have some work to get the new engine to sit as far back as possible. The transmission tunnel is going to be looked at for a possible RWD conversion in a few years.

There really nothing quite like building your own track car :D

I agree on the brakes, the ST ones arnt that special IMO. And a decent brake set up will knock more off your lap time than an extra 50bhp may be able to.
If you were to go RWD or 4WD i think you may as well skip most of the fiesta! The amount you'd cut out would be ridiculous!

Wheel wise, gotta be OZ or Compomotive or Speedlines, something light and especially strong!!

Yep, I am looking at the OZ range. Trying to see how much magnesium wheels cost lol. Having light wheels will make a huge difference.

The RWD project may not happen. You have to take the drive train out of an old escort. The wheel base becomes a lot wider and IMO looks shit as you have to get some silly custom body made (like the dimma stuff for pugs).

Tempted to run slicks on the car hehe

edit: I saw a M5 cane it today coming onto a motorway. However, when it hit around 5000rpm in second there was lots of black smoke, then more smoke in 3rd.....then I lost sight of it. This ain't normal is it!

Hmmmm, ours has never done it! But if he happened to have sum silly aftermarket chip on it it might just be a tad rich, hence the black smoke.
