IMHO all people should be able to access the VV, but instead of everyone being able to d/l all the vids they want, they have to upload either x amount of pics into the photo gallery, or by uploading a video. So basically if you've uploaded 5 vids, you can d/l 5 vids, or if you've up loaded (lets say x = 10) 30 pics, you can d/l 3 vids. This way it doesn't put any of the new people off, and you don't have to be a major member to upload, or download. But then there's the problem of bandwith, etc.

i think the idea behind all of this, is that this is a forum first, and a vid place second. this rule just helps to enforce that. :D

Will you be willing to sort through the trillions of files weeding out the videos so that the same video isn't uploaded repeatedly?
I can't even begin to imagine what kind of hell that would be.
Your system is entirely too easy to abuse.

You can forget the password to your account, you won't fit here if videos is all you are after.

BTW- do you think a 3 second video is equivalent to a 200MB file ??

Interesting idea, but simply not doable.. would mean hundreads or thousands of vids to review, most of them will be double, triple or worst... simply impossible to do and we would soon need a couple of new servers :P

the only thing that makes me sad is that i dont have almost anything worth to be posted and i cant access to the vv... :( its not so fair... not everyone has videos or pics to post... but its ok. this is your forum, you make the rules :|

You missed the point.. we never asked to contribute with pics or vids to get access... we ask to contribute to the discussions, to take part in the community

even TT and the night owl Dan have to sleep, they have too much work in real life and here to see if your 3MB video is worthy to be uploaded.
why not use the gallery, upload your images to imageshack and share them, and if a video is extra special, some members have their webpages and can give you their space and bandwidth

exactly, I don't know what ppl want access for, these vids aren't exclusive to JW, there's always that other site for leaching

I think you missed my point....I wasn't talking about the vault, just saying that he can find vids/pics to share here at JW if he hasn't got anything of his own to share currently :wink:
