thanks; nice pics....i agree, everything about this car is beautiful except the rim color....btw, it's funny how this car's side mirrors are placed high like the early showmodel/prototype- production versions have their mirrors down lower.

The owner requested them to be placed up high I believe. McLaren was open to some custom bits, since customers were paying $1mil+ ;). Some of the later production cars, and I know for sure the last F1 roadcar, had the mirrors up high...it looks better, or more like the prototype.

Thanks mate, nice pics but I remember this car, there was a video of it on the Nurburgring if I am not wrong, or it was another one with the same rearview mirrors (those of the prototype) :D
But damn !!! I didn't remember it was such an hassle to be on 56 k :shock:

yeah very true. and if it was actually called periwinkle blue, that would be the most feminine supercar in the world. nevertheless, it is a McLaren, so it could be any color in the world and I'd still love it

McLaren F1 chassis number 036, build in 1995 as 30. F1 road car. Colour is officialy called Pale Blue Metallic. Was on Nurburgring in November 2003. I have more pictures of this car - some low-res, some in 1024. I will try to upload them later.
