Bit of a noob question, but I don't know how to direct ports to my comp through the router.

I have for example these figures:

80 (Transmission Control Protocol [TCP]) - Halo looks to see if there is a Halo update available. If there is an update, Halo downloads the update through this port.
• 2302 (User Datagram Protocol [UDP]) - the game host listens on this port.
• 2303 (UDP) - the game client connects to the game host through this port.

I have a Sitecom DC-202 router.
First I go to this screen:

I believe this is the menu where I can set ports, but what to I need to fill in the Start and/or finish ports. And where can I tell it to direct them to my computer?

Hope anyone can help.

Thanks in advance,
Rico

127.0.0.1 - the last time someone published their IP online I seem to remember someone spoofing their IP and having a jolly old time wrecking havoc across the Net... ;)

just set number 1 to incoming ports 2302 -2303 UDP , after that it should give an option for you to choose which local address to send it to..

although looking at that screenshot you already have your comp set to the DMZ so prolly no ports are blocked except if you have a software firewall running on that computer:-/

also I edited rc's post to remove the ip

Thanks for removing DanV6!

I read in the manual where it says that it automaticly detects on which comp the program is used. Though now theres another problem. It gives an error saying that I didn't enter the outgoing start port in a valid range. It should be between 1..65540. It's stupid because 2302 is in that range right? :?

Already sent a mail to Sitecom. Thanks for the help. :fadein:

well yeh, but you only set it to allow 2302 and 2303 incoming, so 2301 is not included in that range

set the outgoing ports the same as incoming I guess.. seems it doesn't work quite the same way as my router :?

Whoops that was a typo...
Hope Sitecom will ever reply to my mail.
Maybe though it is my wireless router thats closing the ports.
Might have to look up on that one too.
