P.S. I don't have more pics,we had a bad snow shower over here.
I think this GTI is the best they've ever built. - The biggest argument is the price - 26000 € for this car - incredible. Shit i love my Daimler.

Good pics.....apart from VW did a good work with the new Golf GTI alongside the Golf GTI series I and the series II....IMO the VW went wrong with the series III and IVs spirit towards the confort, the silence and equipment and so on........in addition....i love the C280 that you have as well since the cars built quality is excellent, a big engine in the car and a because of the rear wheel drive transmission system as well

lol......yeah, the culture of american or european are different till now in general...however, the concept of european or japanese little car concepts are being introduced little a little in those countries since the little car is a sensible thought, as well as the diesel engined cars concept

the new GTi is getting lots of praise in all the articles i have read about it. as much as i want to hate the car for its looks which im not fond of, i cant help but start to really like it for all the good things i hear about how it performs.
Yes finally someone I agree with. I'm really not a fan of the new styling of the GTI, but I'm very impressed with the newfound performance. Hard to dislike such a good performer

No it's a car from Porsche/VW Dealer here in Stuttgart.
A Friend of mine works at the local Porsche Dealer and he had the car this weekend, normally he drives a Boxster.
Soon i will drive the new Posche Boxster S,then you'll see of course the pics.
My car is the Merc C 280,which you see on the thumbnail,my friend calls "Old Man Car".

It certainly looks very good , and that blue colour suits the car better than the red from top gear .

Thanks for the pics, good to finnally see some amateur pics of the car. I agree the styling isn't what i would have like to see for the Golf series, especially the non-nastalgic headlights, but everything else is as good as should be or better. Can't wait to drive one, anyone know yet what turbo it has?
C280...my friend calls "Old Man Car".And he is right...
The GTI looks very good in blue. The 3 colored front is very nice...

yeckmohr, I envy sooo much.
I saw one a few days ago. The car realy has a personality, and attitude.
I'm glad VW did it's job properly. Thank go, the last two gti's were a disaster.

I don't like the looks of the new model so much, but interior and build quality looks perfect! + great handling
I'm so eager to see your Boxster pics soon :)

I'm not really a fan of the Golf V styling. But I still like this mk5 GTI a lot. It's a true GTI like the mk1 and mk2. And almost every car reporter seems to love it. I'm hoping to testdrive it in the near future.
@ yeckmohr: did the one you tested, had the DSG or the 6-speed manual gearbox?

looks like a 6sp manual. dont see the shifter flaps on there.
Mmm, well noticed!!! Now that I'm giving the dashboard pic a second look, it seems the GTI-badge is ripped of the steering wheel. Yeckmohr, are you collecting GTI-badges? ;)

Hi,
it was a 6speed manual, very short i dont know to call it in English "short shift ways" maybe.
I dont collect these steering wheel badges,it's a car from a vw dealer and some guy stole this GTI badge, very bad.
These are the only pics that i have.

its sad that the price of this car is so high...It will definitely affect sales in Canada because itll be like 40000!! On the other hand its a lot nicer than the mkV jetta. It is hideous!!
