I must admit I rarely listen to music on my car... when I want to drive fast and clean, music only distract me from engine and tires noises, while cruising with my g/f or somebody else usually music doesn't allow to chat... so I only listen to it if in traffic jams alone... and I prefer to put a good radio station instead of a personal fav :D

I agree, if I had a nice sports car that sounded amazing, i.e. Ferrari, the radio would never even be put on. The exhaust note would be music to my ears :D

it really depends on the situation. for long drives, I feel trance or light house helps me relax but still stay awake  for short trips here and there, it depends on my mood, sometimes mashing drum and bass, sometimes epic trance. for fast driving  i'd have to say drum and bass or trance

lol yea, i'm a big electronic music junkie

I don't like listening to the music, I prefer the engine noise or chet with sb else.
I listen to it only when I'm waiting in the car, or maybe in the traffic, but never when I'm driving..

I bet that Jabba is happy to listen the music of his V12 and V8...this is the music I like!! :P

Well, one thing is for certain - it wouldn't be techno.
I'd play the music I generally listen to - metal and hard rock.

Probably depends on the mood don'tcha think?

Sometimes it's a slow day and you just wanna cruise.. some days you wake up in a rush, and don't need the distraction of music.. some days you just wanna get some techno to get the blood moving..

but yeah.. i wish i had a car that had a v8 or v12 to listen to :)

I like some good trance music, Gino beats lol. Especially Dub Pistols and Chemical Brothers. I also like Heavier rock, but not that satanic shit. Dope, Paparoach, Linkin Park, that sort of thing. Pretty much anything upbeat. When I get my car I've got a theme song all picked out. Its Daf Punk vs. Chemical Brothers - All around the world [remix]. This thread is great. Now I can DL some good music from groups ive never heard of, thanx!

I blew by a cop doing over 200km/h once, listening to Underworld. Music totally changes the way you drive.

You Americans and Canadians always confuse me with the term techno. If I understand correctly everything remotely electronic is called techno across the pond, right?

Here it's a genre of house music.

Anyway, as for driving music I'd choose Coldplay, U2, Dire Straits and stuff like that. It doesn't really make me drive faster, but it feels relaxed. If you want a song that will make you drive like mad try Everybody Gettin' High by Mick Jagger! I'm also a big fan of electronic music, but somehow it doesn't feel good while driving.
