Washington DC Ferrari dealership, out in Loudon County. Didn't have too much time, but I snapped a few off.

not really great shots, but the ones w/ a bunch of ferraris in it are pretty cool i think.

bit of a glut on the quattroporte, but i found this car pretty cool as this is the first one i got to look at up close. the guy told me a lot about it too - apprently it's a very hot item. that one is the floor model, so it stays there, but the ones for sale are backordered for months. the interior was very nice, with seats adjustable in nearly every direction. the leather work was superior. the dash and dials were simple and elegant. i liked the work on the analogue clock too - a nice touch. notice too how far back the engine is mounted in there - much like a mid/front engine car really. front nose, i like the aggressive styling, and those three holes on the side are a very distinct and stylish addition.

that bike is one of the coolest bikes i've seen. excellent carbon fibre craftsmanship, as you can see. massive disc brakes on it front and rear (soo much stopping power - almost too much). very desirable bike, much like the cars. cost? 10 grand.

^yeah, sorry about that. i had just been having a lot of trouble w/ imageshack for a long time, and this is the first time i've really gotten it to work for more than 1 or 2 pictures. i just didn't want to risk re-editing a post and losing all the pics i had successfully uploaded - that's why i did it in sections.

LOL, the brakes on that bike are small. They are only Cross Country ones. Believe it or not, they are not too powerful. I often wish I had more power on my beast.

i live in that area..where exactly is that dealership?
and nice pics. thanks for the post

it's out in sterling virginia (loudon county - past fairfax county), and prolly a bit of a drive from MD. (it's easy for me from the NO VA side).

i take my nissan to get serviced right next door to carfax and the ferrari dealership.

the nissan address is:

45155 Towlern Place
Sterling VA 20166

and you can't miss the ferrari dealership if you find that (you pass the ferrari dealership on the way there.)

they say they only get about 35 or so new cars each year (which isn't a whole lot) and they can't keep up with the demand in that area. they do however do a lot of resale of used ferraris, so there are always a couple of those on the lot.

as for the bike brakes comments, sure they're not "massive" compared to a car's brakes... but if you compare the ratio of brake size to weight of bike/car - the bike easily has more proportional stopping power.

My point is, that they are not big even for a mountainbike. I run 205mm rotors on my bike, while those are 160mm.

edit: That came out a bit abrupt!! Sorry. I was/am agreeing with you on the brakes lol, I was just pointing out that there are even bigger brakes about! Believe it or not there are 6 pots!! (google: Hope mono 6 ti) There is even a company with a conversion for my brakes taking them to 230mm! That is the same size are a rear brake of a car....

damn Ikon wish I had known about this thread earlier. I've been wanting some photos of this dealership since last time I went and forgot a camera. Nice to see the lineup has changed too... and that 575 is beautiful. You didn't happen to take any photos of the shop in the back did you? Last time it was sick, had so many nice Ferraris...

The dealer in Michigan, according to the salesman, orderd 125 F430 but is
expecting to recieve les then 50, they have deposits for all 125. They cant
meet the demand here eather. Its kinda neet having a dealer less then
30 min. away, I stop by when ever passing through.

Very nice pic e46drew! I just love those snowy car pics :)

@ ikon2003: some nice dealership pics you have shot. I especially like the otuside combo shot with the 360's, 328, Testarossa, 348, 355 and 308 nicely lined together. Some lovely variety :D

nah, i didn't get any shots of the back in the workshop area - i didn't have enough time. they did have a sweet 360 modena that belonged to a UVA alumnus that they had just finished working on, and were bringing it out. Very sweet. that's the only thing that i saw from the back. there coulda been a lot more goodies for all i know :)
