During the audience with the Pope, Jean Todt revelaed that Luca di Montezemolo has decided to produce the 400th Enzo with the proceeds going to the tsunami victims. The Enzo will be donated to Caritas who will then sell it through Sotheby's auction house.

Uhm.. nice idea maybe, but what about the precious Enzo quote "always produce 1 car less than you think you would/want sell"?

But well, considering at first it was 349, I guess it's ok :D

Nice idea... and it should fetch a rather nice price too 8)

Although there are still many Enzo's available for sale, this one comes with the added kudos as the "last one they could sell" :wink:

That should go for a decent price, All those people paying premium for second hand enzos could have bought a new one, not that the 2nd hand ones are bad or anything. :D

that was extremely nice of ferrari. i guess they're being philanthropic in 3 ways... money goes to tsunami victim, one more person gets to have an enzo, and that's one more enzo we'll probably never see... 8)

That's idd really generous of Ferrari. Maybe Enzo and the guy who owns the 399th Enzo are not really going to like it. But I think the rest if the world will.

Nice to see that Ferrari are building another Enzo for such a worthy cause.

Do you have any external links to confirm this? Some outside info/sources would be nice...

TT keep in mind that there will be more than 1 crushed to pieces lol! that balances the equation.

What about the prototypes, are they counted in the 399 :?:
I read that somebody has bought one, thanks to J.Todt

Very nice gesture. I wonder how much they will rise.

Schumie himself donated 1 million.

I think this will sell more than usual just for the fact its a special cause and high media coverage.

Nice to see a small company like Ferrari doing this. Hopefully another championship blessing :D

funny an employee gives a 10 million donation, his company gives a 500,000 donation, give or take a few; nice gesture, but most likely a media ploy; schumi deserves a lot of respect, he gave 10 million, while for example kobe a few thousand; I thought that was a very nice gesture on schumi's part ...

10 =) . . . missed out the Zero. Thanks.

I think the car will auction off for more than 500,000 though.
