Does anyone else have an exoto Gt40? If so, what are your thoughts one it?

Exotos are the best. BTW it would be better if you could post thumbnails instead of full pics as it takes a lot of time to load for the 56K fans. Use www.imageshack.us for this

Cheers

congragulations artypossum,
The GT40 from exoto is extrodanary I got the exact same one you have and I am keeping it in it's box because I payed heck a lot for it and I don't want no dust to come onto it..

Enjoy it.. and by the way have you seen the 1:12 scale GT40 from Exoto.. it's simply amazing, almost bought it but then I slamed my head onto a wall to get some sence that it's to expensive..

Yes I have seen it, its bloody amazing, the detail is like a real car. eg, the switches on the dash work!!!!! but it is ridiculous in terms of price.
By the way Evo; do you know what the exhaust pipes are made of on your GT40? on mine they feel kinda rubbery

Yep I've got one, I posted pictures of it quite a long time ago actually...er...at least I think I did. Anyway, mine is the Standox Suzuka Sun version which has been discontinued and is fairly rare at this point. The level of detail is astonishing. Cloth covered seats, suspension with accurate, and movable geometry, accurately treaded tires, nicely detailed dials, brake ducts that are soft and move with the front wheels like they're supposed to. The engine and plumbing thereof is a work of art too. My only regret is that I only got the 1:18 scale one rather than the 1:12 full monty. That one has opening fuel doors, flippable toggle switches on the dash, real braided lines in the engine bay, real metal eyelets in the seats, and a gearlever that is mobile and has the real, GT40-style reverse lockout.

(The 1:18 version doesn't have a movable gearlever)

Yes, the exhausts on mine are exactly the same, im pretty sure thye're metal but they feel very flexible.

My only regret is that I only got the 1:18 scale one rather than the 1:12 full monty
