View Full Version : BIOS Speaker -OFF
My botherboard and BIOS are updated but i have no option to turn off the system speaker are starup. You know...that BEEP sound when you switch your system on.
Anyone have a solution to turn it off. My mb has an AWARD BIOS.
The beep on bootup/startup is a significant debugging aid.
The number, frequency and duraiton of beeps will denote memory, cpu and or bus speed errors - and could be of great help at some future time.
Unnplug it if it bothers you that much.
yeh just unplug it .. although if your motherboard also has a built in speaker you = screwed

In that case, just disassemble the speaker and "disarm" it by cutting the red wire... or is it the black wire?
