I've learnt english at school, with music and internet but I didn't pratice for
about 5 years. I started again with JW that is a very interesting way to
improve it, but sometime frustrating cause I'm not sure everybody
understand messages I post. I've learnt lot's of important for a classic
conversation new words like "holly cr.." or "It pi.. me off", thanks for it

When I was 4 and a half years old I moved with my parents and bro to London as my dad got a well paid job offer and life was much easier there compared to the harsh early 90's in Poland. I spent 6,5 years in London, i finished primary school, my dad's contract expired and we had to return. Kinda sucks...British people have a way better sense of humour then the people around here :( ;)
Now I learn English 3 times a week at school and also at Jabbas World :D

learned my first words in... kindergarten, you know the basic: gallina-hen, pollito-chicken
then in my school i had one year of 90% classes in english, so I only had one hour per week of spanish
then 4 hours of english each day at school
after elementary, in high school my english level dropped a lot because I only had 2 or 3 hours a week of dissapointing lessons
and now I'm still learning, and from a year to now I'm trying to remember basic stuff, all because Im in JW

Reading all of your posts in this thread is kind of an eye opener. I don't think that I would have the time or patience to learn another language. Good show, gents.

Don't exacerbate the situation. My language is filthy enough and there is no need for encouragement. Please don't be a ruttish fool-born clack-dish.

Lets see. Ever since I can remeber we had sattelite TV. At the time my dad didnt have a motor to rotate the dish so it was always pointing at the Astra satellite. Which was 18 chanels I think, 15 or so of them in German, I didnt pick up German though  So before I even went to school I knew german from watching Cartoon Netowork which was in english. So I was growing up, to Ukrainia, Russian, Polish and English TV. And I know all 4 four langauges fluenty. Excpet polish. I cant speak it.
And my dad was getting english movies all the time for the VCR(he risked being arrested my the USSR government at the time, because of that) and my dad knew english from school...
And then in Ukraine english is mendatory from grade 1 to grade 11(now 12)
So here we go. I grew up to English TV, took it in school, and moved to Canada. :D
