Toyota just released their new 2005 spec car today. Not much difference other than mainly aerodynamics to cater for the new rules this year. Interesting read on racing-live that talks about these changes.

That's a serious looking machine right there. The way they took those pics really gives it a nice impressionable feeling. Thanks for postin

I hope they really would do better, I don't want Toyota to feel like they are wasting their money and quit F1. The new car clearly have the 2005 aero bits on, but as usual, in F1, the shape of the car tells very little. I guess we still have to wait till March to find out who's the daddy.

bollocks, F1 is still the height of advanced car technology....

GPRC cars will all basically be the same - hence no engineering competition and hence no progress or development.

GPRC *may* have better racing, we are yet to see, but F1 will easily remain the epitome of racing technology

why i say f1 is not about the most advance techonology anymore
is not because they are using v8 starting 2006... i think is fine.. but from whati read.. they have so much restriction for the engine

and only like 1 or 2 set of tyre through out the whole race weekend?? thats just bad. IMO

I dont like the Toyota colour scheme they should look to do something different.

F1 will always be the height of technology(unless the money dries up), all these rules and restrictions just make the engineers more creative. :D

^ i think i read 2.4 L in CAR magazine

edit: just remembered, i think they decided on 2.4 cuz there's already some engine out there that exists as a high output compact V8, which would cut some of the initial cost for the companies in RnD.

Yeah, I hope they do better this season. Interesting new rear wing design. I wonder if the other cars will follow suit.
