I am posting this as a joke, nothing malicious about it. So don't implecate me when you get busted after your enemies cars mysteriously start breaking down

1. Unplug a solenoid or idle speed control motor with the key on

2. Connect a solenoid of less than 20ohms resistance directly to the engine control unit

3. Hook up the battery backwards...then turn on the key (if there is a 250 Amp fuse hooked up on the positive cable, jump it with a thick wire)

4. Transmit static electricity to a PROM

5. Run a dry fuel pump for more than 20 seconds

6. Hook up a low impedence volt meter to a computer controlled circuit (specifically the O2 sensor)

7. Drive a GM vehicle with the ALDL pins A and B connected

8. Hook an ohm meter to the O2 or Ford MAP or Baro sensors

9. Administer more than 6 inches of vacuum to Baro sensor

10. Expose coolant or air charge sensor to more then 275 degrees (F)

11. apply 12 volts to TBI injector for more than 1 second, of PFI for 3 seconds.

12. Jump the battery with 15 or more volts; disconnect the battery with the engine running; or connect the jumper cables with the key on in the car being jumped

13. Use silicon RTV or certain Carb Cleaners near an O2 sensor

14. send AIR (vehicles with smog pumps, prevalant in the 80's) upstream for more than 30 seconds while in closed loop

15. Bake the car in 175 degree paint box without removing the computer

16. Arc-weld on the body without removing the battery.

Once again, this is posted as a joke. Not as the Anarchists Cookbook for Car Nuts

how many of those are you actually going to be able to carry out?

ill keep them in mind though,

remember this: if you can learn how to let the smoke out of a transistor, you can kill a computer

A good one is always to just full-field the alternator

ok, but what i meant is, that some of these would require you to open the hood or get in the car to carry these out. which means it would require more time. usually you want to get in and out as fast as possible and minimise the chance of getting caught.

a few of them would be tricky to achieve, yes. but all you need is one really  there are many, many ways to destroy a computer, this is just a small list. And getting under the hood can be simple if you know where the release cable is

Pretty useful for me by now....As my computer is unimaginably screwed...It's hardly usable even for browsing the web
