Supercars.net came out with their annual list of best new cars for the past year (in order from best to 10th best).

Here's 2004's list:

1. 2004 Maserati MC12
2. 2004 Koenigsegg CCR
3. 2005 Ferrari F430
4. 2004 Pagani Zonda C12-S Monza
5. 2005 TVR Sagaris
6. 2006 BMW M6
7. 2004 Orca C113
8. 2005 Spyker C12 Spyder
9. 2004 Noble M14
10. 2004 Lotus Exige

Pretty sweet list - it would make a nice garage to say the least. I'd do some shifting at the top though - switch CCR and MC12, and bump F430 down to 5. That's just my opinion - I'm not sure of the criteria for this list, so there may be different reasons for the rankings. What does everyone else think?

And for comparison, here's 2003's list:

1. 2003 Porsche Carrera GT
2. 2005 Ford GT
3. 2004 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
4. 2003 Lamborghini Gallardo
5. 2003 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
6. 2003 TVR T440R
7. 2004 Aston Martin DB9
8. 2003 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Concept
9. 2003 Cadillac Sixteen Concept
10. 2002 Pagani Zonda C12-S 7.3 Roadster

....Both really good years, but I prefer 2004 to 2003.

^ It's a Swiss car that's been in development for the better part of 15 years but for some reason has only come out this past year. Slightly dated in style (even ugly by many modern standards), it does pack a big punch: Twin Turbo Audi V8 pumping 641bhp and 900NM of torque.

1. Ford GT
2. Porsche Carrera GT
3. Lamborghini Gallardo
4. TVR Sagaris
5. Porsche 911 Carrera S ( 997)
6. Ferrari F430
7. BMW M5

9. Maserati MC12
10. Mclaren Mercedes SLR

the SLR got seriously dumped down the list for not having a manual box.

How can you have a best new cars of the past year with cars that haven't been released yet? :P Eg M14 and M6

The MC12 is basically and Enzo and the CCR doesen't impress me much

I think dani_d_mass has made a much more accurate list

Definately the 997 911 and M5 should be in there
