3. SL 55 (less likely a E55-got the same engine)

This is very hard, hopefully I can guess at least one right.
1. Has a supercharger? Doesn't happen to be the Mini Cooper S (a really wild guess)?
2. Has variable valve timing? It's not VTEC. Not the zetec either. Possibly a Toyota. Wonder if it's the Celica.
3. Porsche, could be boxster S.
4. Definitely has a high reving race engine. A Ferrari? My guess, a 355.

Also close on the second one. It has indeed got variable valve timing (it's called VarioCam on this car (hint :wink: ))

VarioCam? So it's a porsche too? Doesn't sound like it has a turbo. So, it's a carrera? Cheated a bit, I googled the list of cars using VarioCam.

Sounds like a v6, not a strait six, dont sound much like a porsche, i can hear no turbo or charger, hmmmm, cud even b an FTO??

No1 sounds like a flat engine, supercharged, i like ur guess of an old beetle jabba, but i recon its a flat 8, actually dont know of many, especially charged!!!!??
U say they r relastively recent cars, in which case i dont have a clue, it sounds like an old bugatti or sumting!???

good work on the sounds. number 4 was confusing me...i didnt hear anything at first then it rumbled through the surround sound. very nice!

In fact you all suck at it pretty hard :oops: . These are the correct answers:

I got the samples from this site (http://www.porsche.be/entertainment/sounds/soundgallery.htm) so they're official porsche samples. Don't blame me.

If it would make you all feel any better, I would have scored rather miserably myself, that's for sure. :D
