How do you think the Matrix trilogy will end?

My theory is that Smith is turning into a virus that is a threat to both man and machine. I think Neo will go to the master machine and speak to it. I think they will make some sort of deal that if Neo destroys Smith, then the machines will call off the war against Zion. I think the scene where they show thousands of Smiths lined up and down the street is going to be the final fight.

A really intellegent person I know thinks that the whole movie is based off Alice in Wonderland. He thinks that Neo dreams the whole thing. At the beginning of the first movie the computer screen says follow the white rabbit. Then later Morpheus says ill show you how far the rabbit hole goes. He has noticed many other similarities. He thinks that Neo will wake up and we will see that Smith is his boss (notice how his boss says Mr. Anderson when he yells about him being late). Trinity is his neighbor that he has a thing for. The oracle is his Landlady. Morpheus is his good friend and so on.

I'd like to hear some other opinions. Do share!

I think your theory is right, if you try to piece together the scenes in the trailer. I heard many suggestions that it's all a dream for Neo. Many hollywood movies (or tv shows) ended that way, I think it's very lame. Hopefully they'll have a better ending. I think it may end like total recall 2097... so Neo doesn't know whether he's dreaming or not. Only the audience know.

All I know is that I've seen a preview on TV where Neo gives himself up to the Smiths so that Zion can have a bit of time or something...and then Trinity and the others have to rescue Neo....it should be pretty cool no matter what though...hopefully a little less hokey than Reloaded was.

my friend had an interesting theory about this. he said that there could be multiple layers of the matrix, as a failproof system. i think he got that from the final scene from reloaded, where neo destroys those machenes by just raising his hand. i duuno, it was far fetch for me, and if that is true, how many more layers of matrix are there?! it could go on forever. i really like the alice in wonderland theory. it would kinda suck though, cuz it would mean that nothing of that really happened. well, anyways. i can't wait for the third one either!! just got the DVD for reloaded yesterday, and even though it wasn't my first time watching it, it was so awsome. and the MTV movie awards thing in the second dvd was hillarious.

my friend chris's first theory was very similar. The reason he was able to stop those sentinals was because he realized that he was in another matrix. That there is a matrix within a matrix. Program within a program. Maybe neo discovered the operating system :lol: . Maybe the reason he is unconscious is because he is now out of that matrix which is Zion and is now somewhere else. Kind of like he unplugged himself accidentally which made him just like they are unconsciece in the nebacanezra when they are in the origianl matrix.

I aslo think Neo will have to destroy himself in order to destroy Smith, I agree with some of you that said that Smith is becoming a virus and is affecting the whole system, and somehow this has to be connected to the machines and when Smith is destroyed all the machines will deactivate...can't wait till Nov 5th!!!

I agree. Especially after they went through the statements of Zion being destroyed and rebuilt. Why go to all the trouble of rebuilding it after take over? How come the physical location shows no signs of what happened and no one remembers? Seems like the logical conclusion would be a matrix within a matrix. This would also explain how their could be multiple the ones and the people who are supposedly thinking on their own would follow the predictions of the oracle even outside the matrix.

It's official release is November 5th...but it depends on the country you're at..but I think It's gonna be a worldwide realease the same day, becuse here in Nicaragua it premiers Nov 5th too...
