A bit late but still....

I had this car for a tes drive for a week...and this is why...

I'll be working for a car magazine from now on(besides my regular job) and I've been asked to take some pics of the car, so they'll put them in the mag besides my article. How cool is that.

These three pics of the colt will probably end up in the mag maybe more, I don't know, I gave the editor about 10 pics......we'll see.

Well, it's an interesting story and it involves the carrera gt in the picture...

One day I was driving to Ljubljana (our nations capitol) and I saw a car heading my way. From far away it looked like something low and dangerous looking.....and it sure was.... I noticed the CGT pulling into an industrial zone ( that's what we call a small place where hundreds of business's and companies have their offices and other facilities...).

Anyway, ofcourse, my heart starts pounding like crazy, I turn the car around and go look for the car. In my head I was going: I'm never going to find this car.... But the second turn that I made led me directly to it.

I could have taken any other of the dozens of streets but I found the CGT in the first try....

Anyway, I start taking photos and I notice the liscence plate and I rmemberd this liscence plate being on other cars like the 550 maranello and the porsche gt2. And that's when it hit me......I actually know who the owner is. And the funny thing:

My dad knew the owner. So I wait for about 5 minutes and the owner shows up. I walk up to him, and introduce myself and tell himabout my dad. He remembers....thank god :wink:

Then ask him for a ride and he gives me his phone number.
I called him a couple of times, and a buisy man that he is, he never got around to take me for a spin.....anyway, yes, this story actually is leading somewhere, be patient...

This guy also owns two or three magazines, not sure. One is about fashion and the other one about cars :twisted: :twisted:

So about two months ago, I call he guy and we started talking, about what I'm doing at the moment, and I tell him about me loving cars and so on.
The second the guy hears that I realy like cars, ha says, well Ciril, maybe we can find something for you here at the magazine....

He said I should write a little bit of something about a car I drove.
And if you guys remember, I had the Alfa GT for a day( the car that was in my sig...) and I wrote a short article about the car.

I sent it to him via e-mail and got this response two hours later:

Ciril, stop by the office on wednesday, the new Mercedes A class is waiting for you....

I was going like : :o :shock: :shock: :shock: :lol:

WTF?!?!?!

And that's the story.....I also wrote an article on the A class but I had trouble with my e-mail server ( didn't know that at the time) so the article came in too late and it won't be in the mag....

A few days before the whole new year thing, the chief editor caled me up and said he has a car for me and it was the Mitsubishi you all see in the pictures.

Three days back when I took the car back, te owner and the chief editor were sitting in the owners office and when I walked in, the forst thing the owner said was: ongrats, you're officialy our test driver now.......I almost shat my pants.....

Oh, one inetresting fact. I think the owner sold the CGT but the word on the street is , he is the owner of the only F430 in slovenia, and I'm seeing the guy this week...... :twisted:

I really envy you, sounds like a great job - will you be testing more 'exciting' cars then the Colt? :)

With time, maybe, I'm trying not to get ahead of myself......slow and easy.

I quite liked the Colt. It's roomy and drives well. The interior looks like one big toy and that is good. Everything is so simple and effective....

I don't even care about the money.....If I get some , ok, if not, also ok. I do it for the cars.
